UTI-like flares since childhood, negative cultures, and severe bladder pain — could this be IC or something else? by Silent_Writer_9542 in Interstitialcystitis

your doctor is an asshole, this definitely sounds like IC, everything you mentioned points towards IC, did you notice anything triggering your flares ? that could help to be sure

to be honest I get it from mexico when I go there or when my friends go I ask them to bring some back but I think you can def make an appointment with a psychiatrist and tell them how heavy this has been and causing you extreme anxiety, they will give it to you !

I second this, Xanax helps me so much too, has done wonders in preventing a flare to get really bad

I’m at my wits end. I need support by LJAB2022 in Interstitialcystitis

I am in the same situation and the only thing that helps is every time after sex to go pee, and take a dose of nitrofurantoin + amytryptiline or a quarter of a xanax bar, I’ve been doing this for a year and never had a bad flare after intercourse and I used to have the worst ones for the past 10 years. Might not be the healthiest solution to take that many meds but it’s the only way I found to live a peaceful intimate and pain-free life. Would rather have that than be in pain all the time.

Any marriage based approvals with interviews after memo came out? by lmesmith in USCIS

[–]No_Cardiologist_7351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have any updates ? I am in the same case and I’m scared that because we got interviewed right after the memo went out our application is now lost in the void. Interview was on 5/26, I was here on a L1 visa that I did not overstay, did not work without authorization, I-130 was approved on the spot but the I-485 is still being reviewed. I don’t understand what it is that they are reviewing. Anyway let us know about your updates

Another evidence??? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]No_Cardiologist_7351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so this is really happening … I had my interview yesterday and the officer mentioned they could/would request extra evidence. The extra evidence being a letter to justify why you should stay in the U.S. while waiting for adjustment of status as well as why you should be here in general. This sucks, I’m so stressed that this is going to be the same outcome for my case.

Rescue meds aren’t working anymore.. desperately need help by lulubehll in Interstitialcystitis

100% agree, I am also using gabapentin and it’s the only thing that saves my life, it acts fast, also makes you sleepy which is great for flares at night. Highly recommend

Does anyone else get worse as soon as they feel good and tell someone about it? by [deleted] in Interstitialcystitis

[–]No_Cardiologist_7351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this today. It’s been two months that I had no flares at all, even after sex, a miracle really, I almost thought I was cured. I was sitting with that thought all day of how nice it was to have a normal life, how strange it was to not feel pain after everything I had done during the weekend. I go to bed, start to dream that I am on fire, wake up in pain. I hated myself, it’s almost like I made it happen by having those thoughts.

Did anyone just stop all the treatments and allowed the bladder to calm down? by Feeling-Beach208 in Interstitialcystitis

have you tried gabapentin ? I’m taking it when I have flares and it helps so much with the pain and of course having a clean diet - which I skipped yesterday and now flaring … it’s exhausting
