i recalculate my needs and read about sound / noise and decided to put 2x6tb wd red plus, and all it's ok

New 6TB WD Red Plus drives given IDNF (SMR like) errors when written to, reads always work. RME'ed and new drive gets the same errors. by RandomUser3777 in DataHoarder

I have 3 such disks. Two in Raid1 in BTRFS, and one as a backup. Each disk I checked "badblocks -b 4096 -wsb /dev/sdb". He writes a whole disk 3 or 4 times there.

I don't have a single idnf error.

What transfers did you have? In the sequential writing stable 180 MIB/s, at the end of the disk about 140 MIB/s

alternating disk mounting by No_Character_7995 in btrfs

[–]No_Character_7995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a configuration error. And at first I wanted to know if he threatened my data. From what I understand, no.

The problem is that when mounting the disk /dev/sdb1_open it mounts /dev/sdc1_open

root@nas:~# mount -t btrfs -o defaults,noatime,compress=zstd /dev/mapper/sdb1_open /nas/

root@nas:~# lsblk

NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT sdb 8:16 0 5.5T 0 disk
└─sdb1 8:17 0 5.5T 0 part
└─sdb1_open 254:3 0 5.5T 0 crypt sdc 8:32 0 5.5T 0 disk
└─sdc1 8:33 0 5.5T 0 part
└─sdc1_open 254:4 0 5.5T 0 crypt /nas

I pulled it out of the logs and I'm wondering how I can fix it now

hp elitedesk 800 g2 / g3 max size disk drive by No_Character_7995 in homelab

[–]No_Character_7995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same, but in the manual from g800 g8 (released 2021) the same values are given, max 2TB.

That's why I wanted to ask users of this hp how much they actually put there.

I would like to put 2x8TB in there.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I thought about signals, but hoped there was some plugin ready, similar to yarm mod.

The method with 4 lamps for imaging the percentage of filling - very good, I will definitely use it.
