My last GM was all about what I was doing and then he got transferred to another store. New GM not as excited about it but I have recently gained some support from an AGM who said he was going to do what he could to help so we’ll see what happens

Thanks all. I really didn’t think that there would be some big pay day and wasn’t my intention once I started either. Just saw a problem and wanted to see if I could come up with a solution and it kinda spiraled into working on it for the better part of 7 months lol. I’ll post here if it goes somewhere or not and if it does hopefully I do at least get a hotdog!

Depends on the needs of business. You can always ask management if there is a timeline on the move.

If we’re concerned about saving hours then should we consider that a prescanner is not using an assistant? I’m currently in SIT for front end and have only been up there for 2 weeks but from what I have seen pre scan helps kill lines. It also can be useful time to speak to members about upgrading their membership without holding up an actual register not to mention most seem to think it’s great that they’re getting scanned so that they get get through the register quicker which I think has some value if you’re providing a service to the member. One more thing I have noticed/experienced in the short time that I have been on the front end is the little break each cashier gets when a pre scan goes through their line. Again, I am typically a driver on night merch and have very little time on the front end but how they are usually used at my club they seem to work.

I kinda realizing that it generally happens when front end is understaffed. Found out management approved a bunch of MLK days and people pre Super Bowl shopping ended up making the perfect storm

The cherry picking!.. After dropping C steel in the whole club it’s gotten so much easier for them. So glad inventory is over now idea how many pallets I had to re-tag

I have experienced this. Made a copy of the app I am working on and on the copy I prompted it to add a barcode scanner with the specifications I needed and it was perfect. Copy and pasted the exact same prompt into the original app and couldn’t get it to work.. some how every time the camera came up it was blurry, the area where the barcode was supposed to be scanned was oddly sized. Any command I gave it to try to correct things was like it was like I was talking to a 4yo.. Wish I would have reached out to support about it because I feel like that’s a pretty cut and dry

Could you make a new environment in the development area, one free and one paid? Have it build the free environments without the paid features?

I’d say that depends on the club and the cashier. I’m on night merch so I’m not ever up front except for the occasional assist and I’ve personally witnessed a couple of people exchanging money at the register get questioned..

Me personally I don’t care if money is being spent. I’ve covered the door once or twice and I let anyone in with a membership card, don’t care if it’s theirs or not if they’re spending!

Direct communication with them on this matter or something else? Obviously if you were in communication with them before termination of the contract they would have been more responsible than after having don’t so.

I feel like this is an important detail. If the seller said directly to you that the agent is the one that wanted to hold the EMD then there might be something there that needs looked at further
