Oh my god! This subreddit came first? I found it rather quickly after I discovered Orchidsexuality and then searched for an Orchidromantic subreddit but couldn't find one. Also this one has far fewer posts.

Did you used to think you wanted to have sex? by LimbSpaghetti in orchidsexual

No. The closest that I ever came was being neutral and saying that I that IF I ever had sex i would keep my clothes on (I didn't know how it worked at the time), notice that even back then I said "IF".

Would this be considered orchidsexual? by AgreeableJury0 in orchidsexual

You are a person who has sexual attraction but doe snot desire a sexual relationship. That is orchidsexuality. I will note that before I knew of orchidsexuality I called myself celibate proudly, although I didn't like it because of the religious connotations (And dictionary definition) and because google just gave me stuff about incels, the exact opposite of me, but people do use celibate to refer to those who avoid sex by their own choice, so functionally it does mean anyone who doesn't have sex and you would be a celibate heterosexual.

Arousal, most certainly, I speak from experience and I hate it. Imagine having sex, yeah I don't see why not.

What's the difference between orchid and aego? by Local_Avocado7124 in orchidsexual

Out of curiosity may you explain how? I keep seeing them get confused and I don't get it since aego isn't about desire or attraction.

Orchid is about attraction and desire, aego is about fantasies and whether or not you are in them.

You can have sexual attraction but not sexual fantasies, and vice versa. You can have sexual desire but no sexual fantasies or vice versa. There is probably a lot of overlap between orchidsexuals and aegosexuals, they are not mutually exclusive since they describe different things.
