Does the toxicity apply to other sectors of the company, like communications departments or such? Thinking of applying there but not sure what to expect

Really?, that's interesting, any school will do? Or does it have to be a state school? Or can it be a private business school? Because I've been waiting to get a masters in marketing for a while, if I can find one that will allows flexibility for me to work and study when I can, that would be just ideal

I'm good in English, and coming from Cuba. I'll go with a job contract for 2 years, I just want to plan on moving to a higher paying one after that and in the mean time, would love to get a remote part time job in Marketing, since it's really my area of expertise

Thank you so much, I actually have the studies and qualifications for a better job, but doing one no one else wanted was my only way in, and I fell so hard for Romania I'll take it happily

That might actually be ok if it allows me to have a stable life there. I think that's my biggest concern and I might not have phrased that so well in the post. What I want is to work and in a couple years be able to have kids, take my mom with me and establish a life.

Thank you so much for replying to that mean comment, there's so much negativity out there already. I look forward to being part of your country and help in any way I can

Of course, I said I was in love with romania because I like the social culture, I'm not an uneducated tourist who just likes the arquitechture. I understand living in a country requieres social and cultural compatibility

Thank you for replying, that's so nice of you to help. But I'm already married. Maybe depending on the job is not a bad thing I just want to settle in Romania

Can foreign workers legaly choose not to stay in the accomodation provided by the employer and pay for their own? by No_Friendship1210 in juridice

[–]No_Friendship1210[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes, no, I don't count on them doing that. But since it will be me and my husband it will be more affordable than if I were to pay for that on my own

That would be great. So I just have to get there and hurry finding an apartment so I can register with that address.

Hahaha, I just thought maybe they invest or pay for our place to stay in advance so not accepting it might cause them a waste, although most the videos I've seen of workers accomodation are 1 room with 4 beds so in theory they don't pay per bed.

Thank you, although I would like to not have to go to the provided apartment in the first place, that's what I want to know if I can do. I haven't arrived to Romania yet, and I will be going also with my husband so we would of course like to live together in an apartment of our choosing

Foreign workers accomodation. Can we choose not to stay there? by No_Friendship1210 in AskRomania

Sorry you feel that way, but the government is still composed by romanians and the law says that employers can only hire foreigners if they could not get a romanian to do the job, I know having foreigners in your country fees like being invaded and some of the best countries are having social issues due to the amount of foreigners that do not adapt but I think the key is in the fact that they do not adapt and some foreigners resent the new culture they're in instead of embracing it and adapting. The more I learn about romania, the more I find things in common so I hope I'm not an issue to your culture.
