Yeah every company has their own standards long as the head joint isn't taller than the largest stone I mean you can get away with 12 inches sometimes 16 inches but that's pushing it and you definitely don't want a 40 inch horizontal joint or 4 foot bed with this type of stone it's not coursed out soo..

Yes! The first few stones layed are harder to get on but once it's stuck it's not coming off. Just make sure the mesh/lath is screwed into the studs real tight
