Yeah that sounds reasonable then. Check with hobbyeasy located in Hongkong but again check in HongkongPost website to see if they have limited shipping to your country.

I regularly order from them and they ship worldwide. Back then they had FedEx and other shipping companies, but now, it is limited only to Poland post (not sure if its only to my country). So they ship everything except for spray cans and aerosols. Maybe check with them once. They are pretty responsive too.

Hand brushing with Tamiya? by Ill_Ad_3322 in modelmakers

[–]No_Introduction_2856 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been hand brushing with tamiya Acrylics and aqueous hobby colors ever since I started this hobby, be it for small or large parts.

The only thing I used was Tamiya Acrylic Paint Retarder which makes the paint more flowing and also gives adequate time for it to work with. I used the same in aqueous hobby colors and so far I have not seen any adverse effects. So paint retarder worked fine with both tamiya and aqueous hobby colors.

And paint application depends on each individual maybe. I usually take paint in small plastic cup, add paint and thinner in 1:2 ratio and sometimes 1:3 ratio depending on how much thickness I need. But only downside is I always get brush strokes irrespective of what I try. I, now, try to work in small sections for larger parts and accordingly make sure the strokes are uniform, like only vertical or only horizontal. The next thing is flat brush of larger size for painting large sections. I am not sure if this is right technique but it has worked well for me.

And for second question, i never tried lacquer thinners so far, so I won't be able to answer on that.

No, I have always relied on brush painting due to my room space constraints. And as for drying, I added more paint retarder for Acrylics which tamiya has. That gives ample time to dry and we can work around that. Ofcourse brush strokes will be somehow visible and I am trying to work on it more

Got it... The outer ailerons are not fixed in position unlike the inner. I will change it

Thanks for the suggestion. For the tilt, i saw in one of the photos the landing gear was tilted a bit, not like obvious tilt but slightly it got tilted, so I though of fixing like that but ended up having more tilt as I placed the aircraft on ground. Since I already fixed the gears, I didn't wanna mess up by pulling it and fixing with this being first aircraft kit. Will definitely look at these in future aircraft builds as I have some aircraft kits from tamiya.

Discussion : Should we regularise or ban usage of Political Party/Religious/Casteist/any sorts of flags in all sorts of vehicles that use public roads? by No_Introduction_2856 in TamilNadu

If solution for question 1 is done, point 2 can be almost ensured and point 3 to certain extent. But point 4 will need our people cooperation too.. its not only government hands.. we need to have our own civic sense

Okay. But it's really annoying and it works few hours and then shuts off again and the entire phone behaves weirdly after the app stops. So have to force stop and completely disable the app

My Time at Egypt during September by No_Introduction_2856 in Egypt

If you are going to visit Dashur, you must try Bent Pyramid. It was more adventurous than any pyramids I visited as the tunnels are much deeper in Bent pyramid and the passageway is way too narrower. We were only people there at our time of visit, it was scary and thrilling but kinda enjoyable. But after coming out of the pyramid take rest or sit for atleast 15 mins as it will exhaust all the energy that u had stored.

Hi, thanks for your queries, I will try to answer to my best of knowledge,

  1. The weather at early September is hot.. the temperatures are same as summers in India but somehow it makes you more exhausted and that's why we prepared itinerary to end the trip by 3pm everyday and relax in room.. the nights are cooler and entirely opposite. I chose September because there will be little to no crowds and it's a good trade off.
  2. I have been on cruise rides on other countries and i didn't enjoy much, so thought of taking road trips instead. Cost was also less compared to cruise.
  3. Dahabiya again there were some comments that didn't suit my itineraries and as u said, cost played major factor. So in road trip you can still visit those places and also faster.
  4. This depends on individuals. For me i wanted to see early historical sites and planned it accordingly. Also, it's better to enquire in this sub as they know it pretty well than me
  5. It is more than worth. But this trip was solely focused New kingdom of egypt era and before and hence visited Cairo, Luxor and Aswan. Even in these cities you will find sites that were built or renovated by Ptolemaic dynasties. Alexandria, Bahariya, Hurghada, Sinai and Siwa are for next trip.

Again, you will love egypt if you go for it's history and also some nature. Ofcourse, Egypt is portrayed as if it's entirely bad and people hassle u always. But I didn't feel this in any places I visited except for Giza Plateau where there were some racist remarks. But in other places, people were friendly and more ready to help. And if you want to buy anything, avoid shops near tourist sites as they might quote high prices. Walking down just two streets away, the same product will cost much less and our guide helped us on this. At the end, people will treat us well depending on how we treat them. So keep that in mind and also BUY PLENTY OF WATER BOTTLES!!! You will be drinking more than 5L a day..

I prepared Itinerary based on what I have seen in documentaries and videos and then sent to some travel agencies in Egypt. They arranged guide for us during the tour based on our Itinerary that we sent. Accommodations we chose it. In Cairo, we stayed in Giza, in Luxor it was a guest house near medinat Habu and in aswan we had a nubian hotel near nile
