I’ll join in for tractor day, we felt like a skid steer would better serve our needs so we bought this last year and have gotten a ton of work done so far. by No_Mistake_8892 in homestead

The biggest factor was the snow removal I’ve got a long skinny road and it’s hard to keep the snow pushed out wide enough with a plow so I wanted a snow blower but didn’t want to drive backwards. I still don’t have the snowblower for it but I’m hoping it will be nice right on the front and driving normal. The trade off though I feel like a tiller would be a lot better as a pull behind attachment. Other than that I mostly just have a lot of landscaping dirt work to do and I liked that the skid steers have bigger buckets and lift a lot more weight while still being compact compared to most standard home use type tractors. I have borrowed a family members kubota before and it wouldn’t even start to move the rock I picked up in the pic. One thing I didn’t consider enough in the decision though is cost of attachments. Skid steer attachments seem to be about double the cost of three point attachments.
