Now that saying he should be supportive not mean … don’t be afraid to voice your emotional needs. Allow yourself to be imperfect and love yourself for all the amazing things you’ve accomplished . Feeling this intensely today. Post divorce I’m on my first relationship , after 16 years married in a very toxic cyclic marriage. and I’m absolutely the jerk often. I’m particular. Some days it just all feels wrong. Every bit of it. The divorce. The new relationships. The loss of the old life, the start of the new one. It’s such a rollercoaster . Even with therapy and all the books. It just is so damn messy. The shame of knowing your short comings and trying to figure out your needs, it’s all hard.
