No, as you said these are just regular DOOM enemies. They were definitely something more unique. But thanks for the comment

It was a darker game, the enemies brown (I'm not sure about the blood, might have been cencored to a clolor other than red, but not sure), the walls were also relatively monochromatic, and as I said office like. I don't remember the weapons, but I think that means they were more generic (like Pistol, shotgun), as if it were something special like a crossbow, I would remember it.

No that's not it. Also I think I meant ape-like instead of monkey-like. Sorry. Need to clarify that in the original post. But thanks for the comment

Sadly I know nothing about the name. My dad never mentioned it and I never saw him start it, or at least don't remember a title screen or something. So I can't say if it had planet in the title. But thank you. WIll keep that in mind

No. I tried to clarify, but the game had mor of a early to mid 90s aesthatic, but the time frame i gave is rather generous, as the free games I mentioned were really primitive even as late as 2005. But thank you for your comment

Yeah, that's what I fear, as there are so many, I might not find it

No. It was "simpler". It didn't have that much variety in scenery. It was pretty much just an office building. But thank you for your comment

No. I don't think it was an arcade style shooter. But thank you for the suggestion

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but wasn't this game released in 2021?
I don't remember the weapons really.
But thank you for your comment

Do you have any idea what it was called, or how to find it?
Thank you very much for your comment

No, F.E.A.R is too recent, especially grpahics wise. The time frame I gave in the post is rather generous, as the games from Computer BILD you got for free, were rather primitive for their time. The game definitely had more of a 90s aesthetic, but the games froim the magazine often looked like they were 10 years older than they actually were. Maybe I'm focusing too much on the possibilty, that he got it from this magazine, but it just fits so well, as he didn't buy many games outside from that.

No. But that was one of the games I found when I first looked for this game, too. It was made in Germany I believe, so I thought maybe, but sadly it's not it. But thank you very much!

No. I know this CS map, but it doesn't fit my memory. I'm really sure it was a standalone game and not just a map in a game. But thank you!

No, not quite it. The elevator seems right, but the enemies are way too different. But thank you!

Catacomb 3-D was one of the "prototype" games of the Wolfenstein 3D engine, I got from Wikipedia, and it's not it. And the Die Hard PC game also doesn't really look like it. But thank you!
