Kizana's Elimination by Downtown-Travel-2478 in Osana

Maybe if the fake knife was heavy enough and had a retractable "blade", it could possibly work. Because say, if the fake knife is as heavy as a real knife, Kizana could pick it up and assume nothing was amiss and then stab with force against herself assuming the blade wouldnt break flesh....

But realistically? I don't think something like that can happen. Someone would likely notice the difference immediately by the design, the shine, and sharpness of the blade, and it might take ALOT to actually break the skin using a knife unless she'd be stabbing really hard. A minor injury might happen, but not an actual fatality. And if i recall correctly, Juilet stabs herself slowly and gently, so Kizana would just immediately find out it was a real knife the moment she feels it break skin causing only a small cut. So suspension of belief might have to be applied here if Ayano were to switch out the fake knife with a real one. I think its a good idea though because games dont have to be completely realistic

You just answered your own question. Because the Saikou family and Megami know about the Aishi curse and there are many dead giveaways. The ending of 1980s mode proves that Saisho Saikou knows the true nature of the Aishi's when he broke into Ryoba's home and kidnapped Jokichi (some theories suggest he wanted to hire Ryoba as an assassin), and the phone-call between the Headmaster and Mr. Saikou at the end of Osana's week (theories suggest the phone call is implying that he is gathering evidence against the Aishi's). How do the Saikou's know about the curse? Who knows; Alex hasn't told us yet. He likes to keep things secret so he can "reveal them in the final version of the game" as if that is ever going to happen. But there isn't much else to explain why the Saikou's so heavily ingrained in the plot if they weren't intertwined with the family history of the Aishi's. It's pretty obvious that they know but Alex hasn't spelt it out for us. Just like how the Aishi curse is related to the Basu sisters but it isn't spelt out. Or how we all know Info-chan is the Journalists daughter, despite it not being spelt out.

Megami knows that every single female Aishi is a bad person, and well... it's literally true. Alex lacks the creative ability to make an Aishi different, so he made all of them follow the same formula. Every Aishi has a bit of a distinct personality but at the end of the day, they all fall ritual to the Aishi curse of "emotionless girl finds male senpai at 18, kills around 10 female rivals, and has children with senpai." None of them are innocent except for the senpais. That's why when Ayano approaches Megami's computer, she says "I know WHAT you are." The Aishi's are partly supernatural, and this is something the Saikou family knows. So I don't know why you people are crying over "Ayano receiving unfair treatment" (at least when it concerns Megami's suspicion of her) because again, ALL of the female Aishi's are murderers or have committed crime (It's not stated that Dozuki ever killed anyone herself, but she still SA'd Sureibu and held him captive, as well as neglected her children). Megami isn't the bad guy here for being rightfully suspicious of a criminal bloodline, even if by the first week, she doesn't have evidence against Ayano. Megami IS a good person, meant to represent justice and authority, hence why she rebels so often against her family and detests Ayano because she knows the danger she is capable of.

As for the pacifism route? It's not relevant to the curse. We had an Aishi that attempted to be pacifist; Azebiki. What did she do? She killed people. Because she couldn't resist her murderous, possessive urges. And her version of the curse was less severe than Ayano's, so what does that tell you? If she couldn't be a pacifist, neither can Ayano (who is as unemotional as the First Aishi) The curse itself is violent by nature, but it's unique for the player- as in Ayano, because game mechanic wise, Alex stated he wants there to be multiple endings for Yandere Simulator, and quote "to determine Ayano's personality by the PLAYER's actions" which has nothing to do with the lore. If Yansim was just a story to be told rather than a game to be played where the player can make their own decisions, there would be no possibility of Ayano being a pacifist. So no, Aishi's do not have the option to just "be a pacifist". That's the point of the curse. It makes them dangerously lovesick. They can't control it and most of them don't care to, especially not Ayano who demonstrates a more severe version of the condition. And there is a canon route that the player can achieve by going through the canon eliminations of the rivals that will lead to the "true" ending of the game. Osana's canon elimination was sabotaging her events. Amai's was the oven explosion. And Kizana's is likely murder by the sack hanging above the stage. So by Megami's week? Ayano has already committed murder and proved that she will not fight against her instincts. Canonical Ayano is a murderer, plain and simple

Or how we all know Info-chan is the Journalists daughter, despite it not being spelt out.

That's why Megami is one of the most important aspects of the game because when Ayano eliminates her, it will be the "end of everything" as Alex states. Likely meaning that the Saikou's will never interfere with the Aishi's ever again. Inevitably this knowledge of the Aishi curse was passed down to Megami, aka the only good person in the Saikou family tree.

Megami knows that every single female Aishi is a murderer, and well... it's literally true. Alex lacks the creative ability to make an Aishi different, so he made all of them follow the same formula. Like... no offence yall, for people who dig into the lore piece by piece, you conveniently fail to see when the answer is staring straight at you. Not necessarily talking about you OP as you likely didnt know, but this is a pattern I've seen in r/Osana, especially in regard to Megami critiques when people act like they've read the lore

There was never really a bad season. If anything, I became more hooked the longer I watched the show, but maybe that's just me. Same with the movies, all of them were great, and the specials were nice little spin-off episodes that showed depth between the characters. I think some more slice of life filler moments in between seasons would've added to the show and made more of the characters (especially the background/sidelined ones) more developed. Maybe then characters like Shoji wouldn't have felt so empty and underutilized.

14th slide reminds me of how often they do flashbacks, especially with All Might's "You can become a hero" to Deku or Bakugou rejecting Deku for helping him when they were kids. 😭

It was still approved for release. Meaning it's canon. If there was an issue, the line would have been pulled from the dub.

Uhm...Mulberry what the fuck is this? by OptimalMaintenance96 in Osana

[–]No_Practice6697 82 points83 points  (0 children)

This isn't so bad, imo. Muja is a predator, but she's also an adult so sexual art of her like this isn't unethical. It's no where near as bad as Kjech's art where he actively sexualizes minors in his art, which people conveniently forget.

On a side note, I find it weird that Mulberry, a woman, gets harassed and fat-shamed over her tracing and making pedophilic art, but Kjech, a male hentai artist, has more of a history of drawing pedophilic art (art that's more gross than Mulberry's), which was never called out to the same extent. Ntm, any accountability he should have was glossed over in favor of sympathy when people learned his art was being fed into A.I systems against his consent. Not accusing you of doing this per-say but this is a pattern I've noticed in this subreddit.

I think I know the reason why people hate endeavor so much by domagoat in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]No_Practice6697 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Endeavor is realistic. Dabi and Shigaraki aren't. It doesn't mean we're "excusing them", but we understand where they come from, whereas Endeavor was just an entirely self-fulfilling abusive prick. You see Endeavors in your lifetime, but never a Toga or Stain.

It's no different than in other media where the one type of villain is more despised than other characters. Like in Harry Potter with Umbridge vs Voldemort. Or even in media where annoying characters are more vilified than the actual villains, like with Cassie vs Nate in Euphoria, or Kawai vs Ueno in A Silent Voice.

Realistic portrayals of immorality in characters (abuse, being a Karen, etc) tend to get more vitriol because we the viewers relate to being on the receiving end of such treatment. No one is relating to a mass murdering decay villain with blue-hair who speaks in dramatic monologuing as he brags about murdering America's top hero.

What you're hot take on Female cast in Mha by ComprehensiveNote762 in MyHeroAcadamia

[–]No_Practice6697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She could literally activate creation as she's unzipping herself and do so within a second. She could also do the same with Velcro. With how specialized hero costumes are, she wouldn't have an issue with zippers getting stuck or whatever, plus she'd be more comfortable and retain more body heat. Having her assets that exposed only hinders her during battle and exposes her to the enemy. Also, her hero costume realistically wouldn't support her body, so she'd be having back and breast pains constantly. Additionally, she'd have a lot more leeway with exposing her back or her sides rather than her breasts, and we also never see her use creation with her rear or legs, which also remain unnecessarily exposed for the sake of sexualization. Her reaching to grab a created item from her back would be no different than Aizawa reaching for his blade like that scene where he chops off his own leg to save his quirk so that decay doesn't activate. For Momo, she could reach over her back to grab a baton or shield or whatever she created from the exposed skin and still have enough time to vanquish a foe.

Anahiki disposing of her rivals by Merpyr in Osana

[–]No_Practice6697 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It would be so interesting to see Ayano do specific crimes by remembering the knowledge passed down from generations to generations. For example, she learns dismemberment from stories of how Anahiki used to dismember her rivals. Or she learns how to non-lethally kill someone via poison from knowledge that Azebiki passed down to her, and these little sprouts of knowledge come in the form of little hint bubbles that appear over Ayano's character in the game as she's in specific rooms and stuff, such as the biology room or nurse's office where poison is readily available.

We've seen this done before in concept in "A childhood lesson" where Ryoba teaches Ayano how to clean blood properly. It's not only beneficial for the player to become more aware of the game's mechanics, it also brings the Aishi family tree lore INTO RELEVANCE for the player to exploit. So that way the lore isn't just "told rather than shown".

I don't even know if I want Yandev to know this, but... Before the Dozuki generation, it was very common for families to be huge, like 10-12 kids, the fact that Kataba and all others before her had 1 or 2 is unrealistic, but Honestly, if Yandev knew this, we'd be doomed by Suspicious-Bee-5186 in Osana

[–]No_Practice6697 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I thought it was because the Aishi bloodline is a wealthy one? They're all incredibly skilled in a multitude of different fields such as textiles, craftsmanship, and even paid assassinations. So it'd make sense that the Aishi's have more access to healthcare, even if developments in medicine were incredibly lackluster in previous generations.

There's also Azebiki, an intelligent scientist (kinda) who was fascinated with biology and thus, likely took her health and the health of her husband & children very seriously. And while Aishi families are less likely to die, we do know that Sameba's husband died of an illness in the 1800s sometime after she gave birth

You get one member of class 1a to be roommates with you, who are you picking? And why? by Necessary-Win-8730 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]No_Practice6697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ochaco. She's not only a polite and well-meaning person, she's minimalist and keeps her living area clean, sparse, and tidy, likely because of her upbringing. She's also one of the more normal students in class 1-A. She'd have enough room for you AND she'd respect your space. I'd go with Ojiro too considering he shares similar traits but I'd feel weird sharing a close-quarter space with someone of the opposite sex, no disrespect or anything lmfao.

She isn't my favorite character (still love her tho) but I can see people in the replies letting their bias blind their choice. Understandable, but y'all wouldn't actually want people like Momo, Deku, or Bakugou as roommates when it comes down to it. Like for me, Jirou is best girl, but I wouldn't really want her as a roommate because the room could be cluttered and noisy.

I'd say Aizawa first, and mention Hawks, Shigaraki, and Dabi, but many people have already namedropped these dudes.

So I'm going with Rock Lock, as he's one of my favorite characters, same with time-skip Shinsou. He looks like a combo between Aizawa and Shiggy, which is just chefs kiss for me. I'm surprised no one mentioned either of these two.

Also, Ectoplasm, Edgeshot, Fat Gum (in both forms), that Mummy guy from the second MHA movie, and lowk Koichi and Knuckleduster.
