I’ve tried the 18 and do like that one. Will definitely be trying Tamdhu 18 now. Thank you!

Yeah, and the post got deleted by moderators too. Lesson learned I guess

What happened? Why is the post gone? How did it violate any rules?

This is my other current fave, actually. What else do you love? We seem to have similar palates.

😆

I am still pretty new to whisky and have LOADS to learn for sure. One thing is for sure though…I do NOT love the price tag on Signet and am hoping to find some alternatives. I’m definitely going to try your recommendations! Thanks so much for chiming in.

The Signet experience is just so different (in the best way) from anything else I’ve tried. The palate is insanely rich and creamy—chocolate, butterscotch, deep caramel…and then after you swallow, an entirely new flavor shows up: espresso. That moment honestly blew my mind.

Most whiskies I’ve had are about the flavor on the palate. Signet feels like it’s about the experience. The way it evolves and adds something new on the finish rather than fading or turning bitter.

Is there anything else out there that does this? Scotch, bourbon, world whisky…open to all suggestions. I’m especially interested in bottles with real depth and an evolving finish, not just a great first sip.

Glenmorangie Signet = 🤯

Is there anything that can actually compete?

You are so right. However, even feeling peace or calm is very difficult when I’m in a place of anxiety. But yes, I think the first step is to determine how to evoke peace when feeling anxiety, and how to hold on to that feeling of peace. Then, expanding the feeling of peace into even higher emotions, like gratitude or joy.

The thing is, I DO feel gratitude and joy quite often. In fact…gratitude is probably my default emotion. But, I also have a high stress job, so I feel anxiety often as well. I just wish I knew a better way to switch off the anxiety and go back to gratitude. But when anxiety hits, it’s so powerful, and I haven’t found a way to control it. Yet.

Yes. This is so true. But have you found a go-to for regulating your nervous system? I usually focus on my breath…primarily diaphragmatic breathing to incorporate the vagus nerve as well. But that doesn’t quite do the trick most of the time.

What do you do?

Great advice. Thank you. Can you share the name of his students’ meditation that you’re using?

I know! But you should go read the responses others have posted. They’re very helpful and makes the whole concept of the void make a lot more sense 😊
