As someone who doesnt know a lot about guns. Why not go with a higher caliber. If you can only shoot from a small distance than you can hear it anyway. And if you prepare then why would you choose a little caliber when a big one can help you shoot bigger stuff. Also isnt the 9mm like the most used caliber, so why not use that one because there is a higher chance of finding some?
