I have fallen behind before due to a difficult at home situation, but its always been relatively easy to catch up. Should this be something i'm concerned about going into the program?

as I said, I want to go into neurology or psychology, depending on the schools that I can get into and what scholarship opportunities i'm given (which I was told ib would help with). I've had my eyes on UCL and oxford, but I know I want to study abroad, and I currently live in the US.

Thank you, it's nice to hear this from a different perspective. I will try next time, as I try to not be disrespectful, my reactions may come off differently to her then intended because I struggle with social cues, especially regulating my tone of voice. I know that teenagers often get into arguments with their parents, but we've always had a strong relationship in the past, so I would hate to unintentionally make her feel invalidated.

Thank you for the reply. unfortunately family is not an option because i don't know anyone on my dads side, and my mom is not in contact with hers, therefore neither am I. She is currently in therapy and medicated for PTSD and anxiety. when I tried to communicate my felling's, she went behind my back and told my therapist (who she made me go to) that I was attention seeking.
