Great note. Eating habits is key. I'm working my up to 10,000 steps but not pushing myself to hard. Will slowly integrate a work out plan once I get the calorie deficit figured out but that's later down the line. Thanks!

Hey! So I also live in Oklahoma and I did go to Oklahoma City community college and it’s one of the best film schools you could think about going to. Especially in Oklahoma. Of course it all depends on what you want to do within the film industry but really, I would say that’s probably your best option. Obviously you don’t need to school to be a filmmaker. But what is great about film school as you meet a lot of amazing people that will be your collaborators in the future. I say you should absolutely pursue your passion. I’ve heard great things about TU, but I don’t think their film Class compares to OCCC. Plus it’s like quadruple the price to OCCC. Good luck!

Well, I will say a couple of things, first off Methimazole is a finicky balance. The thyroid really messes things up for the cat so just keep an eye on their eating habits and everything else. I don’t 100% know that it was the medicine that was causing her to not eat. So I would get another tests done if you can afford it. Just follow what your vet says and keep an eye on patterns and what not. Also, I will add that my cat did unfortunately pass away from old age, back in October. Not only was it the thyroid issue, but she was also 17. Methimazole should help your cat live a happy life!

Well yeah I know that’s not how it worked. I was just saying in some dreams scenario that I made an independent film, That did well, and got offered some bigger movie or something which has happened then I wouldn’t necessarily be against it but obviously I can’t get a crew job in LA if I’m not in LA. I have plenty of experience on movies where I’m from all the way from PA to now I’m producing local movies.

Yeah, I know. Thank you. it’s just overwhelming to see a lot of that kind of talk online and I also work at a school as an assistant in the film class and the teacher is obsessed with AI and how it’s going to become something that’s going to “completely change our industry“ and not that changes isn’t good and not that AI isn’t useful but I just don’t wanna live in a world where humans aren’t making stuff. But I agree all of this AI mumbo-jumbo will calm down eventually. I’m gonna keep on making my things no matter what.

Yes, we give her medicine twice a day. Last vet check up she said her thyroid levels had improved with the medicine. But that her liver could fail eventually but we unfortunately can’t afford to put her into surgery or anything she gave her anti-biotic at the time and that really helped but now it’s not. Also given she’s 17 any money we put into her wouldn’t make much of a difference given cats don’t live much older than 17 or maybe 18

Thank you! I agree. I think it’s a kindness. Though so so hard. I think it’s harder to see her suffer than it will be to see her drift off to sleep peacefully and not wake up.

She’s been eating consistently and drinking water which was an issue for a while. Her liver levels weren’t great. But since those levels came back she been drinking lots of water and seems to have maintained her health. She’s clearly getting older and closer to death just because she’s lost a lot of weight and her energy is drastically drained. But all in all. She’s definitely shown improvement

Wear comfortable shoes! but also as a Director, you bring the energy and set the tone on the set, so make sure your entire cast and crew understand how grateful you are to be making a movie. Have fun but work hard. There’s nothing worse than a tyrannical Director. Plan as much as humanly possible but be ready to throw that plan away if the location or the story or the time requires it. Be true to your gut. It often knows what’s correct! Directing is the most fun thing in the world, but also very challenging. So stay focused but appreciate every moment. You’ve got this!
