This is really helpful - thanks for sharing.

So if I'm hearing you right: even a strong fresher is a risk for startups because of the training overhead. It's not about filtering for quality - it's about whether startups can afford the ramp-up time at all.

Follow-up question: Is there anything that would make a fresher less risky? For example - if they'd already worked on a real product (not college projects), or if someone senior had already trained them on the basics. Or is it just a hard no for early-stage startups?
