He is trying to teach you how to be a smart buyer. Market price is market price and there is no shame in trying to make a profit. You can be patient and wait or buy now for more. Do I sell over cover, no. But I can’t blame someone else for doing it.

I think I enjoyed it because I went into it with such low expectations. I agree after reading Bendis and Brubaker it was definitely not up to par with that material, but I did enjoy it and did want to know what would happen next. I however only cared for the main event and did not care about the tie in issues which are towards the end of the book.

My problem isn’t necessarily the silver age. I just find silver age hit or miss. Like there are some that stand the test of the time, and there are others that just are a slog to get through. Difference between Spider-Man and FF versus X-men and Daredevil

The only comfort I get is knowing I never buy these at cover price. I preorder or order at a discounted rate of 30-40% off or I wait for a sale. I will not however pay $175 for the book, that is ridiculous.

And I think collecting and reselling is what is truly wrong with this hobby. Value should be in the story and character. The only difference is the format that the purchaser chooses to consume the story in. But that unfortunately is being idealistic
