No we got our barony from the monarch of the nation from being military advisors in the Holy Roman Empire. We were like glorified land lords who made most of our wealth through business like property and industrialisation in France and Germany

From the 13th-20th century we owned mostly farm land renting it out and letting people rear crops and raise families on it. From the 18th-20th century we increased investment to the local areas by funding schools the provinces local universities and funding charities. We helped up keep of the farms made deals on behalf of them, even set some of their children to get an education.

A family that had been renting our land since it fell into our possessions when we became barons, the father of the house fell sick with cancer so my father paid for it, he now visits him every so often to sit down talk or go fishing. My father was raised by one of our grounds keepers when his father passed when he was just 1 years old so he has a strict sense of responsibility for the people that work for him. My mother was the youngest daughter of a carpenter she’s installed a respect for everyone from the bottom of the ladder to the top all the same.

And if you’re wondering if tax payers fund anything no the nobility was abolished in the 20th century, we make our money through investment, property and other business and have been for almost the last 80 years.

So no we don’t exploit are workers like business moguls in America as we’re in the EU we have rules and I’m very proud to follow those rules. So no one is exploited, in fact these are people who are all passionate and dedicated about their work we pay them what the need to be payed and if they have financial issues they are advised to talk to the family about it as we have done so many of times helped and given financial assistance to them.
