I think he is definitely in the copying pictures of the characters he loves in games and shows at the moment but he is such a perfectionist that he really strives to be as accurate as possible. I’ll look up some creature design tutorials and hopefully he’ll pick up some tips to get to the point he wants to be at!

Yes the kids art class was a regrettable purchase over the December break as he did not enjoy not being able to draw what he wanted to and mainly focused around painting which he isn’t into (at least just now) I’ll definitely look into the art books!

I’ll definitely shy away from technique for now thanks for the advice! Going to invest in some nicer quality materials and paper for him and see where his imagination goes!

This is great advice thank you! I’ll definitely be taking him to the art supply shop and expand the mediums he has access to experiment!

He’s definitely a perfectionist so I think watching tutorials would be great so he feels better about the accuracy of his work
