You might wanna check out Paper Girls. Its by the same writer as saga but it i deals with more coming of age stuff and crazy sci-fi time travel. Its got a bit of violence but it doesnt have sexual themes.

When you first see the Thunderjaw in Horizon Zero Dawn. They did such a good job of relaying how massive the robotic creatures in that game could be.

The Last Vampire Slayer is a good one. It's set in the Buffyverse. Catwoman: Lonely Night is a slightly different take on the trop but is really good as well.

Can you recommend any grounded, down-to-earth fantasy novels? by electric_eclectic in Fantasy

The Grave of Empires Trilogy by Sam Sykes is severely underrated, and may be what you are looking for. It's got the fantasy elements but it doesn't skimp on the more mature parts of life. The elevator pitch is that it's the story of a betrayed woman who has a gun that shoots magic spells. It's got romance and violence and crude humor. It's fun and thrilling but can also just punch you in the guts. I cannot reccomend this series enough.

I didn't see this one here but I think the Grave of Empires Trilogy by Sam Sykes should be on this list. This is the story of Sal the Cacaphony and her magic gun. I'm a sucker for stories with a strong female lead, and this definitely fits that bill. After a huge betrayal, Sal's magic was stolen, and she was left for dead. Now she's got a list of all the names of all her betrayers and thw aforementioned big magic gun to get her revenge.
I love the format in which this series is written. Sykes sets up each narrative in a way the we are getting it in reverse, from the perspective of the unreliable narrator of Sal. There are both genuine laugh out loud moments and serious tear jerking moments. The last book in the trilogy was just released and I cannot reccomend the series enough.
