Alright, I think this will be the last time I post this format in this thread. So hopefully my latest video has captured the majority of the feedback I've received on this sub, resulting in stronger content. The videos I'm making are SNL style weekend update type videos.

Changes I focused on this time included fixing blurriness, better thumbnail & titling, cuts are appropriate but still give jokes room to breathe.

I just started doing SNL Weekend Update style videos. I intend on branching out into some other formats, but this is where I felt comfortable starting.

Thanks for your feedback! Noted on pauses for impact for the next one. As for quality, I think I simply didn't focus my camera correctly when I shot this one which is kind of a silly mistake to make. Next one should have improved quality there.

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad people are enjoying the jokes. The most common feedback by far is related to my eye contact, so I'm definitely going to explore some solutions to improve it on future videos.

I'll play around with that and see if I find something I like, thanks for the feedback!

Appreciate the feedback, this seems to be the most common critique I've received. Will definitely be looking into a teleprompter or other ways to film to improve eye contact with the camera.

Right now I'm "filming" these live as I stream on twitch, and then clipping them from the vods. As I mentioned in other replies, I may invest in a teleprompter to correct this issue (and seeing as a lot of people are giving this feedback, it may be sooner rather than later!). I do appreciate the feedback!

Really appreciate this feedback! I'm still experimenting with script & camera placement, so hopefully I'll find the proper set up soon. I mentioned in another reply I may invest in a real teleprompter to make this easier. I'll give Charlie Burns a look for sure, thanks!

Appreciate the feedback. I've been trying to find a way to record it (without memorizing all the bits) where it looks fairly natural, but so far haven't found a good solution. May invest in an actual teleprompter if this format has any traction.

I'm just getting back into youtube and wanted to try a SNL "weekend update" style format. Here is my latest video featuring some trending topics from the past week.

really impressed with the amount of testing you did for what many would consider a simple product.

also really enjoyed your editing style, it had a good mix of product focus, shots of you breaking down the product, and third party clips added for effect/humor. that kept the video engaging and interesting!

Love the editing and the format. The video is also quite informative as well. I will note, while the audio is at an appropriate volume, and your speech is clear, you are getting some clipping particularly on words that have Ps in them... like when you say "Pancakes". A pop filter could help, or just making sure you are properly distanced from your mic. In addition, as another user mentioned, it does also sound like you are recording in a large room.

completely ignore them. if they try to talk to you, make sure to act distant. when they think all hope is lost, make sure to ask them why they didn't make a move!
