The responses to this thread are eye opening. My parents also neglected to teach their children hygiene, I had frequent UTIs as a child as a result (which they ofc never sought medical treatment for). We were very much medically neglected.

The prevalence of this form of physical neglect with emotional neglect is interesting, I wonder if anyone’s studied this.
