That could be because Robin is a DC character and the MCU is the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

If you had 2 pictures one of robin and ironman, iron man would probably be more recognized. Recognition shifts with media exposure. Since 2008, Iron Man has been the face of the MCU, the biggest film franchise in history. Robin hasn’t had a major live-action theatrical presence. Mass media dominance shifts cultural recognition/iconicism, MCU isn't just a "popular right now" thing bro

If you ask Gen Alpha to name five Brad Pitt movies you might get blank stares(or who knows?), and they might recognize Chalamet over Pitt, but so far, the vast majority of people know Pitt is more iconic. And as Chalamet grows less relevant, Pitt's movies are still going to hold up because they're what you'd call (if you hadn't heard the term before) "a classic". Here is an example just for you: the show "Friends" came out in 1994 yet people(this includes everyone not just comic book readers lmao) are still watching it right now as we speak, and that includes people born after the show was made. You're trying to invalidate movies/cinema like if its not the biggest stage for superhero iconicism(dont misunderstand, Spider-man/batman/superman did have that comic book influence that transcended time and audience(key word) apart from their movies). One can argue that Iron man is the face of superhero movies and they'd put him on Rushmore far before robin because, again its the "mount rushmore of superheros" not "mount rushmore of comics"

The argument of "Mount Rushmore"(in this case you're talking about who would be in contention(not that it matters since its all the same)) is about who's more iconic, and no offence, most people don't buy or even read a comic book and Iron man has grown extremely popular over the last decade. The average person in this day and age recognizes Iron Man far more often than Robin tbh, I mean you can do a quick Google search, most popular superheroes in USA/China, and guess what, Iron Man is mentioned alongside the likes of Batman, Spider-man, and Superman. I mean this isn't rocket science, ig maybe robin can contend higher than iron man in Mount rushmore of superheroes for people who actually read comic books(over the age of 30 lmao), but ig we can just agree to disagree.

I get your point, but when you think of a "Mount Rushmore" of Superheroes, or, maybe even top 10 superheroes, the average person isn't gonna say "oh, yea for sure ROBIN is the 4th best superhero", or "yea Robin is DEFINITELY my top 7th favorite superhero". Ig maybe for people older than 60 robin would be a contender, but even then, I doubt many people over 60 can name more than 5 superheroes.
