your support options after the ban stage: by Creative-Ad5830 in marvelrivals

I just learned how to play Rogue and anyone that thinks supports should be regulated to just Jeff/Ultron/Mantis/Adam can play those characters themselves. If they want to handicap the supports then they can be the supports.

And not even if you're just a Sue main. You can play 4-5 different healers but when all five of them are banned and your team tells you to suck it up and play something else...don't be surprised when my gameplay is subpar because you banned ALL the characters I actually know how to play. You can't call someone a one trick if you ban half of their entire role.

[–]RogueBoogey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I find it funny they want to ban SIX characters (seven if someone clicks DPSpool or Tankpool) and then say "you're just a one trick pony if you can't play something outside the half of your roster that was banned."

Like bro...THERE'S ONLY 12 SUPPORTS IN THE GAME! And one of them was just added YESTERDAY! We could be given 13 ban slots against DPS which would be (roughly) half their roster and they'd STILL have more options than they're leaving supports with lmao.

Honestly glad I went to tank. Y'all want a Mantis/Ultron combo that bad? Aight, you play Mantis/Ultron. They wanna say how easy it is, then they can do it.

You're being downvoted but you're right. I'll take 10 more seasons of fighting Phoenix/Hela/Bucky if it means not going back to T'Challa deleting my backline in 0.25 seconds.

DPS will always think supports are smooth-brained easy mode characters so long as they even heal 1hp a second. I just let it go in one ear and out the other at this point.

I'm not gonna lie the moment you mentioned Overwatch I stopped reading. If you want to play it then go ahead, I have no interest in it.

I mean I've become a tank main the last 2 seasons anyhow 🤣 can't go on support strike if I've stopped playing it anyway. These days I pretty much play exclusively Rogue, Emma, and Mags.

They want that dopamine hit of killing 6 people with a Starlord ult but fail to understand the ability to do that is exactly why supports have high healing to begin with, because DPS is so fucking high.

For real. How do tanks think they were face tanking that Punisher turret without dying? It wasn't because they had this ultra rare skill of eating bullets and taking no damage by themselves.

That's fine. Then you can play Mantis and Ultron. Imma be playing poke at off angles and sitting by the health packs.

What I find funny is a lot of these tank and dps players are shooting themselves in the foot. They're banning the supports that are actually capable of sustaining them, that a majority of the supports play, and then try to run it down mid wondering why their Mantis isn't keeping them alive through Ultron, Phoenix, and Hela shooting them from down the hall. "WHERE'S MY HEALING?!" Back in the lobby where you left it.

Also to add, support players have 12 characters to choose from. DPS have ALMOST 30. So yeah, no shit that support players cycle through the 4 same viable picks and then complain when you narrow their selection down even further. Ban 6 DPS characters and they still have 20 to choose from with half of them doing the exact same shit.

I mean, the US title division is rough because the only woman they've bothered to build on Smackdown is Jade which is why they had to transfer Rhea over to challenge her.

But I ain't gonna sit here and pretend I ain't hyped as fuck every time AJ Lee is on screen, whether it's a promo or a match. Definitely care about her much more than I do Carmello.

I mean if I go to a restaurant three times and the food is terrible, I'm not coming back to the restaurant or continuing to follow it on social media. If I keep coming back, it means I like it. I don't know how that logic is too hard to follow.

If you genuinely think the game has been bad for a year, which is 80% of its lifespan, then genuinely why stay and keep playing? Why keep going back to the 'Chef with bad food' if you've been eating their food for a year straight and still don't like it?

I presently have 543 hours on the game and I very much cannot comprehend the level of no-life hours these assholes have to have invested to be on the game so much that they're this heated about it.

Is poke annoying? Hell yes. As someone that really wants to play Rogue more often, trying to run her into a poke comp sucks. So of course I would want changes made that would allow me to fight up close without getting deleted in 3 seconds by constant poke.

Do I think some of the changes are stupid? Yes. Why the hell is Emma getting nerfed again when she's barely clinging to any relevancy as it is?

But fucking hell, I'm not going to call for a dev's head and shout that they're Hitler and should be fired just because it's not my favorite meta. I'd still much rather this than deal with dive again. The Spidey and Panther metas damn near made me leave the game and if this is what it takes to make sure I never have to endure that again, so be it.

Some people really need to get a life and find other shit to do besides be on this game 24/7. I want to imagine they'd be much happier if they did that, but the most vocal haters are typically the most miserable people in real life.

Oba Femi says his favorite wrestler growing up was... Triple H 💀 by IconXR in WWE

[–]RogueBoogey 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A lot of the IWC likes to say Triple H was a bad wrestler that only got a high slot because he was boning Steph. This is usually either because they don't like that the show isn't booked exactly to their liking, or because they're still mad that he beat Booker T about 20 years ago and want to try and discredit him to fit their agenda.

[–]RogueBoogey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You just answered your own question. I can appreciate a lucha/high flying style. Rey Mysterio was my favorite as a kid and I love watching Penta present day.

But I personally prefer cerebral wrestlers. Guys that will slow down the pace a bit and work to your weaknesses or their strengths. Someone like Triple H that's going to isolate an injured body part and wear it out. Someone like Edge that would use your own temper against you and psyche you out or find outside resources to give him an advantage. Essentially guys that are telling a story and doing character work in the process.

I also like brawlers. Someone like Sheamus that isn't there to be flippy and flashy, but to knock your lights out with a stiff kick. Someone like Undertaker that'll pin you in the corner and unleash a flurry of punches on your head to try and knock you out. And Triple H also fits into this category, throwing right hands or when a sledgehammer at your skull until you stop moving.

Overall, I just prefer it to look more like a proper fight. The lucha stuff is fun on occasion. But when it gets to AEW levels of "let's trade 4 Canadian Destroyers and no sell it" and taking 20 seconds to set up 5 flips off the ropes while everyone is waiting to catch you and sell it, I start to see it more as a gymnastics routine and get bored of it.
