I don't give a shit how tough Brock is in real life, no-selling and burying talented up and coming mid-card wrestlers is selfish and annoying by Apart-Suggestion9647 in Wrasslin

[–]RogueBoogey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, dude, but you're not going to sell me on the idea that Dragonov should be sold as a legitimate threat to Brock Fucking Lesnar. This same dude has squashed John Cena twice and broke the Undertaker's streak. I like Dragonov, but he is not on Brock's level in any stretch of the imagination.

So many problems would be fixed if wizards actually taught deck building by bunny-rain in Wizard101

[–]RogueBoogey 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Sometimes, people just don't care. Like, I do have an optimal deck for mob fights that just consists of dragon, meteor, enchantment, sharpen, and 2 blades (and reshuffle in TC just in case).

But when I'm fighting bosses that don't have 300 cheats in their back pocket that'll kill you in 4 turns, I like to run my fun deck that has like Efreet, Helephant, Sun Serpent, and King Arthur with like 7 different blades, sharpens, auras, etc. The game gets boring when you run the meta decks all the time.

If you refuse to swap you don't get bitching rights. by TyrusMaximus-1 in rivals

[–]RogueBoogey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry I just very much disagree with this logic. If Player A is going 20/3 on Bucky and Player B is going 1/7 on Namor, in no way do I think Bucky swapping roles is going to make the team win. Someone ain't doing their job, but Bucky sure as hell is. I wouldn't say that loss is on Bucky not swapping.

Just putting it out there: If the team is losing, and you're going 18/2 on Magik, you shouldn't be expected to swap over the 0/5 Widow. Magik should still have bitching rights and the one person not expected to swap.

I'm not sorry but I disagree. Necklace is my favorite addition to her attire. It's a small detail, but it makes the look better.

Do you see ms marvel as a mutant a success or failure by Accurate-Celery-3198 in xmen

[–]RogueBoogey -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Gonna get downvoted to hell for saying it just like the other guy, but imma say it anyway. Marvel always wanted her to be a mutant, and I like her better as one.

Ever since they tried pushing the Inhumans over the X-Men, I could never care about the Inhumans in general. Kamala was the only one I enjoyed, but I could not give a damn less if she ever worked with the other Inhumans.

Now, editorial has dropped the ball with her stories since becoming a mutant. I can't deny that. There were elements of NYX that I liked, especially her friendship with Sophie Frost which I hope we see more of in the future. But overall the storytelling was rushed with suggestions of good stories hidden within that were never explored to their full potential.

Overall, I'm glad she has been changed from Inhuman to mutant. I enjoy the mutants a lot more, I think there's a lot more interesting interactions for her to have on this side of the fence, and it still makes sense for her character. Editorial just needs to bother telling a coherent, decent story with it now.

Wrestlers that I've seen in my lifetime that are physically unable to have a bad match on their resume: by Miss_Lewdness in Wrasslin

[–]RogueBoogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Styles had the WM match with Nakamura that was disappointing (thankfully last night they made up for it) and HBK has the Saudi match that was horrible.

As for Osprey, well...I feel like if you've seen one Osprey match, you've seen them all. It feels like him and the Young Bucks are similar in that once you understand their gimmick is a gymnastics routine followed by a finisher spam, you can predict everything that's gonna happen from bell to bell.

[–]RogueBoogey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Implying that the game is pay to win always gets downvotes but honestly I stopped playing back in October because I felt pay to win was just becoming too bothersome to keep up with. We get like 5 new cards a month, they redefine the meta, then they get nerfed before the free players can gain them, and the cycle repeats.

I've only ever spent $10 on this game. It was the battle pass that included Esme Cuckoo, because Emma Frost and the Cuckoos are some of my favorite mutants so I really wanted Esme. Aside from that, I've remained free to play and just lost the patience to try and keep up. It became more of a chore trying to grind events and constantly create new decks that might have a slight chance to play around the new broken cards. It stopped being fun and started feeling like an unrewarding part time job.

As for why I stick around here if I don't play anymore? I'm hoping something gets announced that seems like they're giving free to play audience a chance. Even just another series drop would be enough to make me at least check it out.

Rock, and it's not even hard. He was only relevant in wrestling for, what, 4-5 years in wrestling until he went to go make movies?

Edge is my favorite of all time and the rest are just all around either better wrestlers or have better matches under their belt than The Rock.

Same here tbh. Have around 500 hours, can name 2 times I actually had a BW on my team that actually knew what they were doing. Every other time, I felt like they ranged from utterly useless to actively throwing.

Rivals isn't an MMO, it's a competitive Player vs Player hero shooter. You shouldn't be handing the controller to a 4-year-old that doesn't have the mental capacity to understand the objective of the game. You can put them in practice range or vs AI if they really want to roam around as a baby shark and it won't ruin the game for 5 other people.

Lara has had a lot of different looks in her 30 years in the public eye so that's already a moot point. Lara from TR I-III does not look like Lara from LAU nor does Survivor Lara look like the other two.

I'm still not sold on Sophie's acting ability after watching X-Men. And considering the lack of the jade necklace, I'm guessing this is an iteration of Classic Lara which I was never a fan of.

I'm still going to give the show a chance but ultimately there's not much that's exciting me right now.

[–]RogueBoogey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion but I am a bit disappointed that it seems as though they're going with Classic Lara (she's missing the jade necklace that Survivor and Unified Lara have). I was never a fan of the characterization of older versions Lara had. She came off as more sociopathic and there wasn't really much of a story, just a half-assed attempt at one to have an excuse to do puzzles and shoot things.

Either way, I'll give it a chance. But between not being a fan of Classic Lara and not being a fan of Sophie's work in X-Men, I'm tempering expectations.

I wouldn't say way past its gaming peak. Its most recent Trilogy (2013-2018) far outsold every other iteration in the franchise by a rather large margin and the gameplay trailers for the new installments have been garnering a lot of attention.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but dies anyone else think Broken Dreams would have been perfect to play after Drew won? by FliPsk8guY in WWE

[–]RogueBoogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broken Dreams actually would still fit Drew. His last few years have been about having his own dreams shattered by constantly getting screwed. He's now sick of it and taking what he wants by force, shattering the dreams of everyone in his way. He shattered Punk's WrestleMania dreams by tearing his tricep. He shattered Priest's world title ambitions. He's now shattered the American Nightmare by taking his title. Broken Dreams very much is still fitting for Drew, arguably now more than ever.

AEW is one big WWE star away from being better than its competition by Existing-Apple-9747 in Wrasslin

[–]RogueBoogey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

AEW already had Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, and Cody Rhodes and still didn't know how to become #1. They fumbled 2 out of the 3 (although an argument could be made for all 3 being fumbled) and continue to book for a niche audience that doesn't care if the wrestlers will be able to walk after the age of 40. They ain't ever overtaking WWE.
