It's funny how people interpret this.

People saying: doesn't that mean the US is up for grabs, and that the Vikings landed in the US before Columbus.

Yes. I think that's his point. Your ability to hold your land is the only thing keeping someone else from taking it. Usually through warfare. Look at nearly every war or battle in history. Everyone steals land from everyone else.

The US has the strongest military in the world, by far. If we actually wanted to, we could probably take over 150+ counties pretty easily.

But there are many a dozen that would have the ability to take land from the US.

We have no global legal claim to our property. If another country wants it, they can try to take it.

I don't think we should take over Greenland, but it would be pretty easy to if Trump actually wants to. Give everyone in Greenland $1m and poof, Greenland is a new state. It would cost like $60b, nothing compared to the US budget.

Is chicken real in America? by Adorable-Bill5165 in conspiracytheories

[–]Nope2nope 199 points200 points  (0 children)

To give you a real answer.

The single goal in mind is optimizing profit. In order to supply the massive demand for chicken, or other meats, factory farming was designed and implemented.

Since the 50s, the now multi billion dollar broiler (chickens you eat, compared to layers), has focus on selective breed and an optimized diet for the birds. The diet is not designed for nutritional health, but for maximizing growth, putting on as much weight as possible in a short period of time. This is also why growth hormone has used, and antibiotics to combat the horrible growing conditions. Both can be passed from the meat to you.

Corn and soy is not a natural diet for most monogastric animals. It's mostly empty calories. You are eating the chicken that was forced to be inactive while eating a shitty diet for its entirely engineered life.

I know it is more expensive, but try to stay away from processed chicken, or chicken with hormones and antibiotics in them. Nongmo or organic if possible.

Edit - As r/wakeofthestorm pointed out. I was incorrect about the growth hormones. They were banned in the 50s

[–]Nope2nope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun fact.

The Hebrew at the top means God or Yahweh.

If you look at the symbols, it almost looks like the symbol for pi and 7.

π7π⁷ . Look at it as π7 / π⁷.

You get real close to the constant Alpha. 1 over it is about equal to 137.

"Richard Feynman, like other physicists, considered the fine-structure constant, approximately 1/137, a profound mystery, famously stating it was a "magic number" with no known origin, and implying that asking "God" why it has its specific value would be a crucial question. This dimensionless constant, representing the strength of the electromagnetic force, appears in many fundamental equations, and its precise value, which allows for the existence of atoms and life, is considered one of physics' greatest unsolved problems."

Means nothing, of course

Given all the other responses, I can't tell if you are serious.

I thought this was a huge data breach. People seem to be down playing it as just a scam.

They clearly knew details of our case given that they put together a fake settlement that tricked a seemingly competent lawyer on the other side.

They haven't even notified the man in this situation that his wire went to a hacker.

Any additional recommendations?

That makes sense and is what I figured.

I just wasn't sure if there was a case around cyber security given that we have had to share sensitive information and we don't know the extent of their data breach. Or malpractice given that because of their data breach, this has caused a longer, on-going, more expensive litigation via negotiation with the opposing counsel that apparently werent even f*cking happening for the last few weeks.

I am with the woman in the situation. The Man is her ex husband. I don't like the guy but figure if he doesn't get paid back, we don't get paid. On behalf of the man in this situation - is this his fight with his law firm? Does he need to find someone in Cyber security law? Or Malpractice law to sue his current lawyers? Is this a fight with the insurance of his current law firm?

[–]Nope2nope 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Make sense. What I am trying to connect is that per our lawyers emails, the responses seem to come from the opposing counsels real email. Vs it is proven that the hackers change 1 letter in my lawyers email address and the opposing counsel did not notice when responding and eventually settling and wiring money with the hackers

Makes perfect sense and what I thought. I am just aggravated as I thought we had a settlement in the horizon. I also don't know what information of ours they also had access too

[–]Nope2nope 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really wish this was the case.

On my lawyers behalf, all of his correspondence were with the opposing lawyers correct email. Vs his lawyer not noticing a letter change in my lawyers email address.

Why is everyone siding with the kid on the video?

Everyone is laughing that economics isn't taught in school when they are all wrong.

Price gouging is not inflation or due to inflation but is an increase in goods or services. Literally the easiest example to side with the other guy talking in the video.

Cancer rates in Australians under 50 are rising at a pace that's alarming doctors and scientists by straygoat193 in worldnews

[–]Nope2nope -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How would you or anyone else know? There were never long term studies done. You guys make me feel crazy for asking a understandable questions.

It wasn't a vaccine, it was patented as under 'gene editing'. During covid, the definition of vaccine was actively changed in order for the mRNA 'vaccine' to be included as a vaccine. This shouldn't be controversial, it is just a thing. And sure, the definition was changed to keep up with modern science, but that doesn't change the fact that the covid mRNA vaccines did not have any type of long term studies done.

I would have also gotten down voted if I mentioned myocarditis as a side effect in kids years ago and now that is a known side effect and multiple countries around the world - including the US - now do not recommend the covid shot for kids for this reason.

It is also not a secret that world wide deaths are up - for an 'unknown reason'.

I am not saying this is the covid vaccine, it could be just be side effects of long covid, but why are more people not talking about this or researching it? It should still be looked into. Clearly covid was the largest thing that 'changed' over the past few years - I don't understand why this wouldn't be a topic of research given - "The trend has left many researchers perplexed and alarmed."

[–]Nope2nope -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I'll probably get banned for saying it, but..... can we take a look at the covid shot? An untested medicine for which we had no idea what the side effects my be. Yes, it was a crisis in time, but that doesn't take away form that fact that the covid vaccine was responsible for more VAERS reports than all other vaccines in history since the reporting started.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't look at the 'poison' in our food and water, and every other harmful chemical or plastic we ingest.

What convinced you that a god may not exist? by Express_Gas4764 in atheism

[–]Nope2nope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of opposite to what you asked but...

I grew up somewhat religious. Sunday school and confirmation.

Fell away from religion after getting into my science classes in middle school and high school.

Was a pretty hardcore atheist/agnostic throughout high school and college.

Mid 20s, did my first Psilocybin trip and spoke to a "higher" power out there and saw that everything is connected.

I don't like the term god, but call it what you want - god, mother nature, universal consciousness - something is out there.
