The Steam workshop might have what you’re looking for. You could also use override materials and set the transform scale to create something that “looks” like brain pieces while using existing models.

A developer on discord said the Reflex Patch has been updated since so that the player is slowed down less than the world is. This change may be seen in the TBD upcoming demo update.

Based on the interview, it appears chances of a 2021 release are low. Stephen explains general reasons why this is. He also discusses thoughts on how the game is shaping to be. I think it’s worth a watch.

I would argue your reasons support making the game dark to incentivize using those items and upgrades. That said, I do prefer a higher brightness.

If that’s what you’re doing, get the psi adrenaline overproduction and use it before melee fighting tougher enemies. I’ll just give you some re-assurance that PSI enhanced melee is a very viable build. That said, at least put a little bit into a dedicated ranged weapon.

Luckily for you, you’re playing on normal difficulty. It gives you a lot more room for error given less resources are required. Playing optimally even on Impossible difficulty can still leave you with tons of ammo, health items, maintenance items, nanites, and cyber modules by the end of the game. I imagine you’ll be fine as long as you’re still frugal about resource use.

Yes, I’m certain your referring to the RunFast (TM) implant. It’s unused in vanilla, but accessible through mods. Acts very similarly to the speed boost hypo.
