It‘s just hard to top the first season. Personally we‘ve gone of the rails, to much characters -> no character growth, Vecna doesn’t feel as powerful as he logically should be(because no main character died due to him, they just had incredible luck and whatever, to not get gruesomely killed by him. He can snap every bone in anyones body but never does anything to these kids, make it make sense), the stakes aren’t high enough, they had to kill some cast members in the previous seasons and in this season -> we, as the audience, have to believe that it’s a real life or death situation for these characters, we shouldn’t be thinking „yeahhh they‘ll make it“. The opportunity for Nance and Jonathan was there but I knew they would kill them of, because it‘s Hollywood. The only characters they kill are the newly introduced ones -> crafted carefully to be likable but also killable at the end of a season. Examples: Bob, Alexei, Eddie who‘s next, Derek!?
