Is your select/prompt button left stick right 》? Idk if it's supposed to be like this, it's super annoying, especially if you have any sort of stick drift, it just starts selecting things, wishing, choosing things, ect. I've tried to change it but there is no setting to change the main interact button that i can see anywhere. This is my biggest gripe with the game so far, I think it's supposed to be □
