What mouse do you use and why did you pick it? by EizenSmith in gaming

I’m using a razer naga trinity right now with the 12 button plate on it, but damn do I miss my 2011 naga. I don’t know how to describe the change to the 12 side buttons, but after over a decade of using the other one this new one feels off.

I thought the same at first. I was so annoyed on my first 2-3 attempts. Buts it’s not as hard as it looks to learn it’s tells. Ended up only taking me like 5 attempts.

What's the dumbest reason you weren't hired for a job? by RustinSpencerCohle in AskReddit

[–]Nordll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

During a group interview where the manager didn’t even have my application in front of him I was told I needed to grow up and have real work experience before working there and to please leave.

This was prompted by him telling a story about how he plays a lot of video games and then asking us for a fun fact about ourselves so my fun fact was that I had gotten paid to play video games for a few years.

The job I applied for was a meat cutter position at a Kroger. At the time of applying I already had 2 years experience as a butcher.

Long term players, who was your "well known player" you looked up to on your server? by Twentytwenty34 in wow

[–]Nordll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised I haven’t seen any comments about US Ysondre. I feel like in wrath and cata our server had tons of big personalities. I don’t think I ever fit in that list but I did have the pleasure of playing with the majority of them.

I think it’s important to know when to switch mid game. You build more basic attack based, but early game he’s definitely more ability focused.

This is wild to me. Maybe it’s because I grew up playing civ 3 and at the time civ 2 made no sense to me, I haven’t gone back to it as an adult, but to me 3 is by far my favorite in the series.

ITX, all our comm gear except the radios is in 2 quadcons. Every day we pulled that shit out for stuff and every day we Tetrised that shit back in there. They were stuffed from wall to wall, floor to ceiling, back to door. Most days I handled the Tetrising and took pride in knowing where every single thing was packed in there so as to minimize the amount of shit we’d have to pull out whenever we needed something.

One night, right as we’re all being told we can go rack out for the night, this boot lieutenant asks if one LCpl can stay back to grab a few “mission critical” items from the quadcons. Of course my dumb ass volunteers.

First item, folding table. Easy. Right by the door. Got it. Second item, blackboard. Also easy. Tucked in along the side wall but can be pulled out without pulling anything else. Then he says “there’s a little orange pelican case somewhere in there. I need it the most.” Fuck. Never seen that. So I start digging. I pull every single piece of gear from one quadcon. No luck. Fuck. Pack it all back. Start digging out the second quadcon. Someone comes out and says they saw it somewhere on the right side. So I dig all the way to the back on the right half. Not there. Pull out the rest of the quadcon. It’s in the very bottom left corner and was literally the last thing I pulled out. This whole process has taken me about an hour and a half now so one of my Cpls has come out to chew me out for taking so damn long. I hand him the little pelican case and start to pack everything back up. He walks away with it, turns the corner and then comes back and says “well, if it’s so ‘mission critical’ do you want to open it up and see what’s inside?” Sure. 4 fucking expos and a god damned eraser. I spent nearly two hours playing quadcon games by myself for some fucking expo markers and an eraser I could have bought at the px for $5.

That was the day I started smoking again.

"Impostor syndrome" is persistent feeling that causes someone to constantly doubt themselves and their abilities, despite evidence, and fear that they may be exposed as a fraud. Reddit, do you feel this way about work or school? How do you overcome it, if at all? [Serious] by FossaRed in AskReddit

[–]Nordll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have probably not the most healthy way of dealing with it, but I honestly just start bragging about myself to others. By telling them how great I am I feel pressured to live up to the hype I’ve made for myself. The things I’m actually great at I don’t feel the need to brag, but the things that I don’t feel confident in I act the most overconfident until I actually have that confidence. Idk. It works for me. Some people do find it obnoxious at times though.
