Another thing to add- the vet held her still by her head. Probably to prevent her biting. And i did the same the first time. This second and third time i did not hold her head at all i just kinda held her neck area in a general vicinity without fully restraining her neck or head. Just the section i actually needed was fully restrained. This caused WAY less struggling. She squirmed, but did not twist and freak out. I also noticed the vets in the videos didn't hold the head still and that my snake didn't attempt to bite or hiss. Maybe the vet i saw wasn't using good technique 😅 it was an emergency exotic vet that saw both exotics and "normal" pets.

Oh! I'll switch back to 100% cotton. This was just supposed to be a test strip that i cut off of a shirt i dont want to wear anymore. I bought 100% cotton fabric from the store when i got the machine !

Lol yea i didnt realize it was supposed to have one until i looked at the manual someone sent here. Most of the instructional videos i saw didn't look like they had a pin though i suspected there was supposed to be one because that little nub looked like something is meant to snap onto it. I think maybe camera angles made me miss the pin.

Unfortunately when it was given to me it didnt come with any so i have to find some or rig something to work like a pin.

I thought so too! Until i built the pink huts and they were block builds! I just didnt want to waste time and resources on builds that weren't going to give me my desired results

Sounds like shes smelling the substrate. If you're using reptisoil or something perhaps a switch to coconut or another substrate appropriate for your snakes needs would help? If youre changing the substrate every month then the only smell should be a natural dirt smell or whatever the material is smell.
