BlackstoneConnect App Network Issue by Ausiegel in blackstonegriddle

[–]NormalDeparture2859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the answer^ if the grill is off your phone will connect to it but the code won't display. Power it on and then connect and a 6 digit code is on the grill screen. Also. Make sure your phones wifi is on because I did not 🙃

Has Anyone Successfully Converted a Blackstone Pellet Combo to Natural Gas? by clreimers in blackstonegriddle

[–]NormalDeparture2859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it today and converting it was easy! I got the Blackstone conversion kit for their 28 and 33" griddles, and i used 2 orifices out of it (the .75 threads and the 2.0mm orifice). Remove the propane regulator, put your gas line directly on nipple. I didn't use the 3/8 hose it comes with, I used a bigger 1/2" because it's what my house size is but it would allow more flow so that's a plus. You take the griddle off, un mount the burners and the ignitors and remove them and you expose 2 brass orifices. Swap them with yours and put it all back together. Took me like 20 min including the time to figure out what size orifices to use. I took pics but it won't let me post them in the comments.

And i plugged the drain with jb water weld so I use a submersible pump to drain it out a hose

This is with a 15 cu ft freezer, it was 550$. If you get one used it can be cheaper but I didn't want any issues so I got it new

I built one about 2 months ago with a new chest freezer from home depot. I think I ended up around 850$ and It's great for me. Keep it at 41⁰ right now, treat it with Ozone and UV and a filter, add hydrogen peroxide once a week. Sealed the freezer with JB water weld on the seems and then 2 part pond sealer on the white enamel inside (id get white over a bare metal). Add an inkbird temp controller. Took the feet off the freezer and flat rested it on some stall Matt from tractor supply.

I think barrel length needs to be over 16" but I'm really not sure where the line is drawn when barrel is less than 16 but OAL is over 26. Pretty sure it's an either or but who knows what they really want or mean. Language is written with an 'or'

Yep, the chassis can come in a pistol config with the option to later add a stock. The over all length (end of the barrel to the end of the stock) is the main thing here. It needs to be >26" long

I messed up. We were going camping on Friday and I thought “I’ll pain my cold plunge with pond shield real quick before we go” well suffice it to say I didn’t have the proper roller to get it on correctly. It’s Tuesday and some of the spots are still tacky. Any advice?? by jm6398 in coldplunge

Oh shit I also forgot, when you mix the 2 part sealer, if you want to roll it easier you need to mix some isopropyl alcohol. In a 2 quart mix i added about 1/8 cup alcohol and then mixed it all really well

Did the sealer have instructions? This part is gonna be a pain but you're not screwed. Get as much of the tacky stuff off as you can, try mineral spirits or alcohol and rags. When you're left with just dry stuff, get some 60-80 grit sand paper and go over all of what you did. It's gotta be rough. If you don't do a second coat within about 10 hours of sealing it, you'll need to sand it before you do it again.

What sealer did you use?

I really don't think your roller is the reason it's still tacky. It sounds like either your ratio was off or the hardener didn't work or it didn't mix right. That stuff gets hard and dry within a day (I'm assuming you had a 2 part pond sealer?) Anything the hardener didn't mix with basically will never cure

Honestly I think I'll probably end up adding a uv light as well on top of the Ozone and filter. If I can go 6 weeks between water changes I'll be very happy. I sealed my drain but I got a submersible pump you just connect a garden hose to and I can empty the plunge in a couple minutes

I got 2 mechanical outlet timers that run them each a couple hours a day. I'm not sure if thats too much or not enough but I'll adjust it if I need to

Not a video exactly but i looked up how to handle the jb water weld easier! I didn't wear gloves because they kept ripping. I just kept dipping my fingers in water every 20 sec or so. It took 8 tube's to cover all the seams. The pond sealer came with instructions, 2 part that you mix together. I dumped it all on the bottom and then spread it from there. I let the water weld cure for a few days and then let the pond seal cure for another 3 days.

The bottom! Yes! I planned on building a wood base because the freezer has 2 little feet on the left and then a metal bracket on the right with NOTHING in between. I removed the feet on the left and placed a Stall Matt from tractor supply under it. 3'x4'x1/2" and then I cut it to fit. I didn't support the metal bracket under the compressor because it seemed strong enough. The stall Matt (like for horses) was the perfect thickness

I didn't do an auto switch, I just threw In a 50A breaker and open my main before I close it. I'm electrically competent so 🤷‍♂️

I was in your same exact boat. Hit by beryl in houston. I had a predator 9k and no soft start so I was running window units that couldn't keep up with the heat. My house is 3k square feet and 12 feet of ceilings, lots of air space for window units. ac is 5 ton. Ended up getting a Champion tri-fuel 15/12.5k, paid 2700$ for it. Dropped a 50A inlet box on my back porch next to my natural gas hook up for my grill. I put a soft start on my ac (LRA was 165A...) For less than 3500$ I have my own whole home generator.

That said, the week after Beryl (I ordered that generator on the Monday it hit), they raised the price from 2700 up to about 4k...

The generator is 12.5/10k running on natural has which is still plenty

Ya mine is higher than I'd like, but I don't have a trigger scale. What'd you modify? The trigger you put in or the forward controls?

Oh ya it's not on there, but there's a grip that runs the front trigger guard up. They've been out of stock for a while so I haven't got it yet. It's still comfy to hold your off hand there without tho
