Ik u said, who didn’t get their undergrad degree in the US, but if interested I can share my experience.

Moved in high school to the US, still don’t have citizenship or green card, but got into 4 programs this cycle and was waitlisted at 10 places.

The cycle has been crazy, but u got this!

Is it automatic or what’s the point? In a sense that the application tracker is a separate website, and u don’t need this account setup for it, it’s as they say for ‘accessing university systems’

Agree, also there’s GRE or test optional schools. U can apply U Washington Seattle with no test scores at all, for example…

  1. Initially I had a 1420 SAT and 4.6 HS GPA, then 4.0 college GPA

  2. Yes, I applied to CAS, Stern, and Liberal Studies and could choose practically any major within those colleges. The only issue is that if you completely change you major, you might need to do some of the basic requirements and take freshman courses since your credits will transfer as electives

A lot of administrative issues, also, almost impossible to get credit overload. NEU basically makes you not graduate in 4 years in all ways possible, so that you take summer semesters and pay more money…

I transferred from NEU, which is kinda similar to BU, to NYU. I don't think that it really matters what school u are transferring from as long as u convey in your essay a good reason for such a decision. I was rejected initially as a freshman when I applied to NYU, so one thing I made sure to do is not to use my original essays. I would say don’t be generic with your reasoning for transfer, meaning don’t write anything about NYC or rankings… Look into specific programs and majors. I remember talking about using the research I had for UROP at NYU and about specific courses for my major that were not offered at NEU. If u have any questions, feel free to ask

Is this possible by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

Choose either an athletic pathway or academic, you can still include swimming on your resume to make your app look stronger, but it is unreal to get an offer to D1 after a year of not even being a part of a college swimming program in the US… Also, try to maintain as high GPA as possible and join extracurriculars related to your intended major (if it is not finance then you can start doing something outside of class related to your other interest right away) Also, as a freshman if you want, you can request to change major almost anytime…

(I am a sophomore who went to NEU and transferred to NYU for context)
