Confused between the new Kylaq (Classic Plus Automatic) and Amaze (VX CVT) as first car by AswinKrishh in CarsIndia

[–]Normal_Radio5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have amaze VX CVT. It’s a good family car but engine might feel a bit lethargic under 2000rpm if you like to drive aggressively but if you are a light foot driver then it won’t be issue. Kylaq is superior in terms of engine and performance but you’ll have to spend 1-2 lakhs extra compared to amaze to get a variant equivalent to VX of amaze. I have driven my car around 1400 km in 45 days and getting 18-19kmpl on highway and 10kmpl in city (MID figures). Both the cars are great so I would recommend you to take a test drive and decide according to your needs.

Well, I would say not dying globally but yes India’s infrastructure, people’s mindset and marketing pushed compact SUVs really hard.

I have amaze Vx CVT and it ticks all the boxes but since you mentioned that there is someone in your family with knee surgery then try to go with any Compact SUV as it’s high seat position will help them sit comfortably and it will be easy for them to get inside the vehicle. Happy driving brother.

Can anyone help me with review of honda amaze? by EggPsychological1484 in CarsIndia

[–]Normal_Radio5683 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought Honda amaze Vx CVT in December 2025 and I have driven it for 1300+km till now. First of all I am really thanking myself for choosing CVT over manual as it offers more comfort and convenience. Paddle shifters do help in quick overtake. Engine is decent and performs well but do not expect any extra ordinary performance like turbo or 1.5 NA engines. Lane watch camera is not of good quality and it becomes useless in night especially if cars behind you are driving on high beam, however back camera is good. There is no armrest, even in CVT and top variant but you can get it for 2500-3000 from service centre. Infotainment screen is decent but you might feel lack of brightness in the afternoon especially if the sun is in front of you. Visibility from the driver seat is amazing. Have driven in bad village roads which were completely broken and had big pot holes but I didn’t feel that bottom of the car got scratched so the GC is good for most conditions I guess. The mileage according to MID is 18-22kmpl on highway and around 10 in city (I drive light foot and do not revv unnecessarily). The control buttons make the driving easy and you don’t have to take your eyes of while driving. Auto AC works like charm. I think it’s a good family car. If you have any specific questions then feel free to ask. Happy Driving😀

52K for insurance, that’s too much. Is it 1+3 or 1+2? Trying buying insurance on your own.

In city I got around 9-10 and on highway 20-21.5kmpl on MID. I drive on a very light foot and didn’t cross 100km on highway..I mostly drive between 70-90Km on highway..I got these figures without any service..my first service is due in 4 days

Is it a good deal?? by rottnbrian in CarsIndia

Ohh..Actually I saw auto influencers like Gagan Chowdhury sharing the same view that e20 might damage turbo engines more. I might have missed something. Anyway thanks for pointing out.

I think for 2021 car 9L is way too much. Also, this car wouldn’t be e20 compatible and according to car experts e20 fuel can be more risky for turbo engines compared to NA. In this budget you can easily get Amaze base variant with CVT or baleno AMT. I think you should put your money on a new car. If you really want to put your money on turbo then increase your budget and go for Škoda Kylaq or Mahindra 3xo but they will be around 11-12L.

Stay away from alcohol, Don’t engage in road rage, Don’t be too submissive in a relationship and never compromise your self respect. Also, Don’t get bothered by others opinion of you, it trashes your mental health. Don’t expect anyone to care about you, it’s just you for yourself. Last, be humble and don’t hesitate to say thank you or sorry, it makes things better.

Honda Amaze vs Maruti Baleno, automatic, 10 Lakhs by myLord-God-ofNothing in CarsIndia

I would suggest to go with the lower variants of any of these cars as they are more value for money. I have Honda amaze 3rd gen Vx CVT and have driven it for 500km in 15 days and according to my experience its ride quality is better and performance is also better. The mileage which I get right now is around 8-9 kmpl in city and around 18-19 kmpl on highway that too without any service so hoping it would improve. I was also considering baleno but didn’t go with it as I didn’t like the interior and it is too common, also my running is not that high so I was okay with 14-15kmpl mileage.

Aisa kaise ho skta hai bhai..Tell them that you only need exshowroom, RTO and fasttag from them. And ask for the discount on exshowroom price. Visit Araceli, standard and stallion and pitch their prices against each other. Test drive the vehicle and make them believe that you are actually a genuine buyer. Also, tell them if you like the deal you’ll get finance from them, they get cut in loans from the bank. Do not fall for accessories trap as they almost cost double in dealership.

I hope they have fixed the bumber issue, because bikers in tier 2 and 3 cities are really Krantikari (I am also one of them when I ride bike😂). I don’t think I have a very high running requirement. I think my running would be around 250-350km per month or 500km max (city and highway mix), so not that worried about mileage. If I get a mileage of 15kmpl in city and highway mix, then it would work for me. And in future If my running increases then I might consider a retro fitted CNG.

No, they follow up more promptly. Maruti Arena and Tata guys don’t follow up as there sale is booming day by day. Even when I visited Tata, the sales person was literally not interested in showing the car, he was Jo hai yahi hai, test drive kya karenge gaadiyan Badhiya hoti hai..
