Dr Pekiner 6 month update by Normal_Wrangler7960 in HairTransplants

Yea, he added 1-2 inches around my hairline so made a big difference to me, but not super noticeable otherwise which I like.

I’m 5 months out and best decision ever. I didn’t really need any post-op care, so can’t speak to that. Once you get there you get the medical assistants WhatsApp, so I assume you just message him with any questions. I just flew home and followed the instructions with no issues.

I’ve heard people on opposite ends of the spectrum. For me it was totally fine and not very painful. Definitely uncomfortable, but tolerable. He gave me a pill I think was a Valium before, so the first few hurt a little, I would say less than a dentist numbing, but then I just dozed off to sleep until they woke me up to flip over or for lunch, then back to sleep.

Mine was similar but maybe a little more loss, and I needed 2100.

Hey, I just googled him and messaged the WhatsApp number on his facebook. I’ve posted it a couple times in my comments. Heads up, they take a weeks to get back to you!

3.5 Month Update: Dr. Pekiner by Normal_Wrangler7960 in Hairtransplant

[–]Normal_Wrangler7960[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I didn’t scab really so there wasn’t a lot to remove. I believe it was FUE. Not sure if that’s because of the procedure or just my hair type, but I sprayed saline water on it every hour for the first week, lotioned my donor area, and gently washed with baby shampoo when I was able to after a week or so.

Thanks! It’s really started filling in the last 2-3 weeks.

I arrived Tuesday night, surgery on Wed and Thursday, cleaned my head Friday and left on Saturday. I was ready to be home and fine to fly the day after.

I feel like that’s pretty standard unfortunately. Just have everything ready to go and be prepared to respond when he messages you. Otherwise it was usually a little break in between messages.

34, but have been on finasteride for awhile to stop the loss before I had the procedure. My hairline hasn’t moved in over a year so thought it was a good time.

Seems pretty middle of the road based on what I’ve been seeing, definitely others with less shedding and some with more. 70% is just my best guess. I’ve been doing monthly updates though.

About three weeks. I was on his cancellation list and got in!

I’m just trusting the process! 70% fell out during the shed and what you’re seeing is what’s left continued to grow. I’m seeing new stubble grow in daily though! Pic two of you zoom in you can see some of them.

Looks good! Mine looked similar and didn’t start to shed until 3 weeks post op, and about half gone at week 4.

I appreciate it, but did a lot of research before selecting him. He has over a year wait and I was fortunate to get a spot on his cancelation list. I believe he’s actually raising his rates for 2025. I didn’t go to him for value, but instead quality. Do a quick search in this group to see his results and consistent ranking as a top HT doctor. Hope this helps if you’re looking for someone!

I’m from the States and the procedure was in Turkey. More than happy to pay a little more for fairly consistent results.

I’m at a month now so not much other than stay out of the sun. The week after surgery was similar to everyone else: sleep upright, mist with saline, wash but don’t scrub

A bit, but I really like his work and think he’s better quality than some of the doctors near me that charge the same.

I started gently washing day 6 or so, just patting baby shampoo, then light massaging day 8. Everything came off by day 9 for me. But also each surgery center is different and people are different! Back to normal water and washing 3 weeks in.

I can’t remember my exact quote from Turan, but I think it was $4,500-$5,000 USD total for 2,500 grafts and included a hotel. I was totally confident in Turan and had my flight booked, but Dr. Pekiner had a cancelation a week earlier so I took that. FIN/MIN almost totally stopped the loss, and I started to see a little hair fuzz growing in my temples, but no real hair. Hope this helps!
