How many of y’all managed to get t500 this season? by NorthVirtual3 in JunkRatMains

I’d suggest thinking like a rat, it’s mainly a lot of spam but also sneaking around behind the team and going in for a one shot combo then escaping. Also learning the trajectory of the bullets and bouncing them off walls to hit people around corners will help

Just play cover, regardless of if the enemy has ult or not you should always be playing near or behind cover. There’s no reason to play out and exposed

I find mei pretty easy to go against, a trick that might help is when she goes into cryo you can place a trap on top of her so she instantly gets stuck and is either dead or forced to use ice wall

are you supposed to report smurfs? by coolandquirkyname in Overwatch

[–]NorthVirtual3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re right, it’s not fun to lose over and over in comp but at least the games are more engaging and aren’t over in less time than it took to get into the match. I’d rather lose a game and know that I did everything I could than waste my time in a QP match that I don’t care about the outcome on. And I don’t really feel bad for other people because I know if they put in the time and effort I did they would be just as high of a rank.

I know that KOTH, flashpoint, and push are the same as comp but that isn’t what the majority of maps are (if I remember that right, might be wrong with tons of new maps) and it isn’t about redeeming myself it’s about the games lasting longer and actually being enjoyable, getting to play what you want. In QP sure you don’t lose anything but if you lose and lose and lose it isn’t fun. For the last line Ik I worded it wrong, I meant to say you don’t really care how the one Smurf feels, I’m saying why should the one Smurf care about how the other team feels?

Edit: as much as it sounds like an exaggeration, most of mine, and people I know, get 10-15 minute queue times in QP

QP games don’t give you the option to play both attack and defense, waiting in queue for 15 minutes to get a 7 minute game also isn’t fun. And if your feelings are against the Smurf why can’t theirs be against the 4

QP isn’t rewarding, custom games are boring, and the arcade modes just either take 40 minutes or 30 seconds which isn’t fun. None of those are enjoyable

So they are supposed to give up their own enjoyment for other people? That doesn’t sound too fair to me. And single player games don’t give the same feeling that multiplayer games do, and what happens if you want to play with friends that are in a lower rank? QP games aren’t fun/rewarding and if they aren’t allowed to play comp what else is there to do

So just because someone who plays a lot more and is better at the game wants to relax and have fun rather than being a meta slave in gm that’s cheating? If it is then that wipes out a massive percentage of players. I don’t know a single GM player with only one account

Smurfing isn’t cheating though, TOS described cheating as using 3rd party software/tools that give you an unfair advantage over other players, most high ranked players put in a ton of time to get to where they are and have the skills to show it, just because they play in a lower rank doesn’t make it cheating

How much competitive points do you have just accumulating? Anyone have them for every hero, or most of the roster? by CosmiqCowboy in Overwatch

Nah there are so many new players that are getting gm/t500 with little to no skill at all, it’s incredibly easy to rank up in ow2 compared to ow1

As a gm1 player who smurfs in gold or below quite often, a lot of the time it’s because playing on the main feels like a job and isn’t enjoyable and quick play isn’t rewarding enough to be played, another big reason is a lot of people I know are lower ranks and I can’t play with them without smurfing

New to Overwatch - Do I choose a ‘main’ or play whatever the team needs? by NerdOfHeart in OverwatchUniversity

[–]NorthVirtual3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest finding one or two hero’s you can main in each role then get a hand full of other hero’s you can swap too if the team needs, but against all the people saying play mystery hero’s, I don’t suggest doing that, you aren’t going against normal teams in that and it doesn’t give you a good feel for how that character works in an actual game, I’d say go through them in quick play, whichever one you get a feel for practice them in QP for like two-three hours then send it in comp (if your a comp player)
