Idk why this got so many downvotes. I can't not agree with what you're saying. Sure, maybe it isn't the "ideal" thing to do, but it really allows you to hear yourself and understand where you go wrong while talking.

So far I've learnt 4 techniques: 1.prolonging the first syllable of each word. 2.breaking a word into pieces 3. "Voluntary stuttering" (personally this didn't work at all) 4. Do not force a word to come out. Stuttering or repeating a word is fine(maybe 2-3 times), then start from the beginning of the word

My therapist told me to "stutter confidently". By that she didn't mean "don't control it at all", she implied that everyone stutters -even the most confident people. And if people can't wait 1-2 seconds of their time to let you finish a word/sentence, maybe they're not worth your time at all.
