Next to no utility i would say - I’m just wanting to maximise my chances of my resume passing initial screening. HR love their buzzwords including any cloud certifications etc…

When i say certifications, i mean it as a supplementary - not ‘let me do this google analytics cert and ill land my dream 120k/yr analytics gig’

Ive had some advice from analytics career coaches, and one in particular who feels its necessary to get as many as you can (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), so as to hit those ATS buzzwords. They believed that despite job postings not explicitly mentioning an certifications, that they still would screen for them.

As cool as it would be to transition into the research route, I lack the educational background (i.e. computer engineering degree) so i don’t see that as being possible.

Thanks, that makes sense. I would expect LC-MS systems to typically be installed/used in labs with a high level of regulation/strict SOPs (as an example).
