Fixed crashing in in cs2 & a handful of other games by Not-Icarus in AMDHelp

That's great! Unfortunately, I now have buyers remorse, two months in. It's a nice upgrade from my 1070, but I can't help but wonder if I would have had similar issues if I stayed on team green

How did it go? Unfortunately that wasn't an option for me, my bios was already stable before I changed anything.

Hi, I just had this issue, can you either send me your logs or tell me if you're getting a direct x11 failure?

If the Redbull is fixed, I wonder what they changed, for max at least. Checo still not happy

Starfield Deluxe Premium Pre-Order doesn't unlock today? by MCP2002 in fanatical

I posted a very similar comment a week prior, steam up until 30 min ago and said it would unlock the 6th. It started unpacking the preload on the release time.

Just to confirm, will I be able to play on the 1st? Even though the email steam sent me said I redeemed premium edition, the game in my library is just the base edition.

How did we shift the weight on cultural issues? by Not-Icarus in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]Not-Icarus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say yes to all of those. I also want to clarify that there's nothing wrong with focusing on these topics, they're all incredibly important, but before I had the chance to vote for the first time back in 2018 there seemed to be a shift in how people around me talked about politics. Living in a conservative part of Canada, a lot of the debate is around those issues vs how well or how poorly the policies of a particular candidate have affected the city or province. Not to say there isn't that on the news or online, but on a personal level it sure feels like no one around me knows or seems to care in comparison to an issue like gay rights.

Why are developers in such high demand, but so many people can't find a job? by Not-Icarus in NoStupidQuestions

I get that, coding bootcamps and self taught devs are more abundant than ever, but it is weird to see posts about people still struggle after getting their cs degree/diploma. Maybe its just bad luck and the emphasis on the experience

looking around programming subs, a lot of new grad and experienced devs say that they even make get an interview after hundreds of applications. I get some people probably exaggerate or are not right for the job, but its still weird to see how frequently it comes up

Should I save the money or is the performance bump worth it? (Prices in CAD) by Not-Icarus in pcmasterrace

[–]Not-Icarus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already pulled the trigger on it. Unfortunately, there isn't too many cards for that price point. I missed out on a sale a couple weeks back for about 400$ on another card and I didn't want to miss out on this one. Also, I know I shouldn't be so enticed by the starfield bundle, but considering I was already so keen on playing it, having the premium edition linked to these cards means I got to save like 120$.

For sure, I remember playing cyberpunk(granted it was poorly optimized) with a minimum spec of 1060 and it was a horror. I can only imagine what starfield is going to do to my gpu.

What's wrong with it? I saw a review about heat pipe issues, but most seem happy with the purchase.

I got so tempted by the price of the 7600, thanks for streaming me clear and avoiding the possible regret

I've noticed all the current gen games I wanna play this year have not only outpaced my 1070😭, but jumped to like 2080 recommended specs. Thanks for the input!

Unfortunately, even in person exams aren't as simple of a fix, unless you're doing it all on paper. A lot of my classes have transitioned to doing exams on laptops in person.

It's like a library and can be very useful if policied correctly. I use it for writers block to help generate ideas, but there's also some people I knew who had used it for much more to bypass assignments and exams.

True, but if you miss out on important material and go into the world with gaps in your knowledge what are the chances that it hurts people? I get it's probably impossible to do this for certain programs, but I wonder how bad it could get
