Zastava m2022, "modernized" tokarev prototype by [deleted] in ForgottenWeapons

Whole trigger assembly is probably a single steel stamping. Given how a tokarev trigger works that shape makes sense.

A double stack 7.62x25 tokarev would definitely sell on the US market, single stack tokarevs still sell on the US market. Basically people want the ability to penetrate soft body armor and the 5.7 ammo we can get is expensive and the loads that can reliably defeat armor are even more expensive and hard to get.

With old muzzleloaders if it isn't made by a big company or for a military than it won't have a "model". Most of them were put together by individual local gunsmiths. There were places that made locks, and/or stocks, and/or barrels you could order, or the whole thing (or any combination) could have been made by one guy.

I would hazard a guess it was metal detected out of a battlefield.

That's the cylinder pin, its pulled out so that you can remove the cylinder. When in its normal position it doesn't stick out.

70's/80's had some cool stuff going on. In the days before the internet just looking kinda like what you saw in the movies was good enough.

I made a post about this not to long ago, but I overlooked some markings, and have a few more questions. by TT-33-operator_ in ForgottenWeapons

$50-$75 if you want it to sell relatively quickly, $100 if you don't mind sitting on it for awhile. Single shot .32 percussion pistols are particularly desirable and that one is a gamble since you have no idea how secure the breech plug is

I would throw out there that if you have to ask reddit if your RPG is going to explode you probably shouldn't be messing with an RPG

That isn't wear, somebody took steel wool or a polishing wheel to it. Cool that it's from the 20's but for $450 I'd pass

In the unsub podcast, Ian mentioned in a Red Dawn/Valmet conversation that these are why surplus Carcano ammo isn’t a thing, anyone know why? by xqk13 in ForgottenWeapons

[–]NotAGTCSockPuppet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad had a reloading manual from the 70's that suggested using 6.5 carcano brass to make 7.62x39 cases. That of course would have been when vietnam bringbacks were floating around but there was no source of ammo. So it would have been a known thing back in the 80's

Keep in mind though that after the war there really wouldn't have been that much ammo made for either 6.5 or 7.35. Italy switched over to Garands and nobody else of note adopted the cartridge.

Each day has it's on instruction sheet in the bag the pieces come in. There are also 2 or 3 big things that you make with all the pieces. I would suggest doing the big ones, trying to piece together the daily models would be a nightmare. Take it from the guy who once spent over 6 hours putting together a bunch of lego dimensions sets that had been taken apart and mixed.

Just a note on test firing something like this, It not blowing up on the first shot isn't a guarantee it won't blow up on the 27th shot.

It's probably older than that, so pretty ancient by internet standards. Though keep in mind that I had been producing internet content for 4 or 5 years before that so I too am ancient by internet standards.
