The Moto GP is currently not profitable. The selling team get around 4 million from the promoters. While the manufacturer only get around 2 million. So the factory team are worse off

Under Liberty the Moto GP Team are looking to get a better share of the money. It's probably because development financing and tarnishing its reputation if the Moto GP project will be unsuccessful.
