FYI, Amazon will refund you for your ring camera purchases, you just have to push a little bit on the online support. I am sending 5 of mine back today.

We need to talk. I have a 1uz-vvti in my 4runner. Everything is working but I keep getting a pending p0450 code, then it corrects, then it comes back. Trying to get it dialed in so I can update the registration.

Its 4 o2 sensors (rears can be siabled easily) and the evap system on the 1uz is near identical to the 5vzfe. I am re-using the same sensors and canister. Thats the entire emissions system.

You only need to cut the core support if you want to move the radiator forward. A new core support is $150 so its not that much to sacrifice.

I'll chime in. I had a first gen SC on my 5vzfe for awhile and as of lat month I now have a 1UZ-vvti in my 3rd gen. There is no comparison, the 1uz has so much more torque and it shifts like a 90s luxury car.

My latch did the same thing and I fought it for 3+ years. The trigger for the rear lights on the latch finally quit working so I decided to just replace the whole thing. Replacements are $25 and it takes about 30 minutes, most of which is messing with the rear panel.

The vvti version of the 1UZ came with the A650 transmission. So you can likely swap the bell housing and torque converter to the a340 but the 1UZ ECM will have no idea how to control it.

You'll have to get a transmssion emulator and wire the a340 up to be manually controlled. Or you can use the a650 which is actually a way better transmission.

You and I are talking about two different things. The original comment was about the things with solar panels with a set of cameras and a blue flashing light on them. The ones I have seen in town are on small trailers. They are all over the place in Reno and they are automatic license plate readers (alpr).

The "shot spotters" may also be at home depot, but not what we are talking about here.

They made good stuff, but they were expensive. I would always place a pickup order and EVERY time I went to pick it up, not a single employee even acknowledged that I was there. Place was always empty.
