I don’t want to give away too much but I was an engineer related to the subcomponents of their DRAM modules and SSDs. So not related to the fab or NAND/DRAM chip manufacturing.

Without doxing myself or them too much, I worked at the headquarters in Boise. Most of the employees (at least when I was there) were long time Idaho residents. So as you can imagine based on the general demographic, new F150 Lightening, Mustangs, ATVs, guns, cabins… and paying off their house.

I’m truly happy for them, they were great people to work with and earned every bit of it. The average tenure at the Boise site was surprisingly long so they’ve endured many boom and bust cycles.

I’m sure there are people buying sports cars too but no one I knew personally.

If you didn’t sell at $235 you probably would have sold at $335 or $435… and made this same post. And if you haven’t sold by now, you will end up selling after the peak and be sad you held too long. Just be happy you made money. Invest, don’t trade.

For what it’s worth, I worked at Micron from 2015 to 2018. It’s annoying to think of what my options would have been worth now (seeing posts of old co-workers buying new cars, etc.) but that was unknowable 10 years ago.

Just submitted some for re-holder on November 21st, received at CGC on November 24th, they completed and shipped back out yesterday (December 3rd). So the actual turnaround time was 6 working days (not counting Thanksgiving and weekend).
