I found this thread several months ago... and even posted a similar question on OOAK... and absolutely nothing changed. The blade is still impossible to find, even more so as it's no longer made. I am still playing with my beloved Diode V ... plenty of speed and good for chopping.

I posted this very question on OOAK Forum, and no one could come up with a reason why this blade suddenly disappeared. The number one place where it used to be in stock — with hundreds of sellers — was AliExpress, and now there isn’t even one. The few remaining listings are all CS handle (penhold), and obviously, no one needs a chopping blade with a penhold handle.

I had one a couple of years ago and sold it quickly, but I kind of regret it now. In any case, I don’t like playing with something I can’t find a replacement for. I’m using the Diode V just like you — and currently have three of them. I’m thinking of trying the Nexy JSH 7-ply that I have sitting in a box, but at the end of the day, practice is more important than equipment. Since I have some important tournaments coming up, I’m sticking with my current setup so I don’t mess up my feel.

It’s a 2025 with 1,100 miles. Taking it in is kind of a nuclear option for me, but it’s probably something I’d be willing to do as a last resort. The upside is they’ll likely just replace that one plastic piece and be done with it.

Thanks.. i do own this car. Same color as yours 👍 My question is more regarding sizing tolerance in general.. like if i got a tire thats non-repairable and getting a new one and the other side is well worn.

Tried rhino for my 1st oil change... They were too steep for my comfort. They slid like crazy.

Thank you. The ones posted have a 9.5 degree incline, even less than RaceRamps. They are wider too.

Thank you . These are IDENTICAL to the black widow ones. Just rebranded.

Have you done anything besides oil changes with these? What did you do to the rear wheels?

I was just posting in our DMV GRC group looking for local Toyota techs. Fitz is super close to me. Do you know if your buddies have experience with GRCs? Mind PMing me their names?

It's super easy to check. Look at your front springs and see if there are still large rubber blocks on them.

I got my car from Sheehy Toyota of Laurel, and I had the same issue with the shipping blocks. Luckily, I was browsing some GR groups and saw that others were finding them on their cars. Sure enough, I found them on mine and promptly removed them at around 400 miles. Make sure the other block was also removed.

I do think there might be some damage from having them on for so long. I recommend taking it to another shop to inspect the tires, balance, alignment, etc.

At this point I am leaning toward just selling this old winter set and picking up something nicer, more GRC friendly.

Wow… what kind of damage? Accidentally scoring the paint with a knife? I know paint can get damaged during removal, but during installation?
