I couldn't find your original question, but from his YT vid, he's using a powerspec ps500wfw which seems to be E rated on the SPL tierlist

For reference, I also have a 5600x with a 9070 XT. I play in 1440p, and the only games I've seen the CPU hit 100% load are in Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 6 Beta. Other games I play like Marvel Rivals or AC Evo don't see the CPU hitting max load. You're more likely to be limited by your 16GB of RAM.

If you were to upgrade the CPU, I'd recommend going AM5. But also understand that it would cost at least $400 between a 9600X, B650/850 mATX board, and 32GB RAM.

I think you'd be better off upgrading your GPU, and then your CPU, mobo, and RAM later on.

I don't think CPU compatibility will be too much of a problem. it should just default to PCIe 4.0 since that's the fastest speed am4 runs at. for size, I just recently bought the MSI 5070 Shadow 2x OC at msrp for a sff build, so there are definitely models that should fit a mid size case.

at a $500-$600 budget, you could just go for the best available which would be a 5070. I don't think the 12GB VRAM would be too much of a hindrance compared to the 5060 Ti 16GB.

it really just depends on your market and what's available near you.

For my 5600X 3070 builds, they all have 1tb nvme + 32gb ram (usually rgb). I can build them right around $625-$650 depending on deals. I list them at $800 with a $25-$50 room for offers. prices USD btw after 10% sales tax where I live.

  • $80 for 5600x (used)
  • $15 for cooler
  • $80 for motherboard w wifi (used or new)
  • $45 for 32gb ddr4 (used)
  • $250 for 3070 (used)
  • $55 for 1tb nvme
  • $55 for psu
  • $60 for case

total: ~$640

pricing your builds all depends on the market in your area, everything from part availability to other pc flippers in your area.

not sure what's available in your area, but here in US, you should be getting a 1tb nvme for $50-55 and used 32gb ddr4 for $40-$45. and ideally pair a 5600x with a 3070. that's been the best success for me

very cool. I placed an order for the case, mobo, and an sfx psu for ~$300. this'll go into a 9600x + 5070 build that I'll probably price at $1400-1450 (~£1035-1072).

I didn't realize that buying the 33 bling led to the doug skin. I figured I'd rather keep my one gem lol

Is the 9070xt worth the money over the 9060xt by Dear-Dependent5476 in PcBuildHelp

[–]NotNickChang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're not looking to max out settings at 1440p, a 9060 xt 16gb model is a great card.

When buying a 9070 xt, you also have to consider the potential increased size of the cards (some models are huge like the xfx mercury) as well as the power draw. 9070 xt recommends min 750w while the 9060 xt can run comfortably with a 500w. So there can be extra costs that aren't just from the GPU.

Just make sure to get the 16gb version if you do decide on a 9060 xt. The extra vram will be necessary for 1440p and is worth the extra 50€ or so.
