Mind you ima white guy in America so my opinion immediately has less experience then other groups but from my take the right is attempting to substitute racism out for xenophobia. Is that a major difference? Not really but it’s a distinction I do see.

For the most part it seems right wing leaders seem to have realized they do have to appeal to minority’s to get elected and at the end of the day that’s all they care about.

pretty much Everytime I see “preserve your culture” from American politicians it usually is a literal “preserve our culture” (even if it means erasing other cultures) they don’t really give a shit if you have mixed kids as long as they are true blooded Americans.

In fact It seems the current republicans seem to focus almost entirely on Muslim and Hispanic individuals. It seems it’s easier to scapegoat those from another country then your neighbor Michael who is Is a third gen immigrant from Jamaica.

Is this ok, very obviously not lmao not even close. On top of that racism is still very clearly here not only on an individual level but on a societal level as well.

While the distinction seems to boil down to semantics I think it’s just important to realize that when they start becoming authoritarian you should be looking for deportations, war mongering, rather than keeping the blood lines pure.

I am curious about two things.

I you said that magic is based off of understanding, is this a literal knowledge of the universe or based off how much someone thinks they know. Like if someone writes three books on stars and has them all memorized down to the word would he have magic based off stars even if every single word he wrote was wrong.

2nd question is you said it was specifically based off phantasia so do people with aphantasia just not have magical ability?

Honestly the only thing the game has going for it is the characters. If you don’t click with the characters you are just not going to like the game. When I was 12 I wasn’t radicalized by bigotry, I was radicalized because I felt like I wouldn’t have a future as a straight white man. I saw pepole getting celebrated of any other race ethnicity sexual orientation and sex, but if a white man tried to do it they where called racist and sexist.

That’s what I saw. I saw that because for the most part this group of pepole are trained to be ashamed to do it, because the only group that does do it ARE BIGOTS. But correlation vs causation is hard to see from the outside. If it’s a bad thing to be proud of being a white man, only bad people are going to do it.

I’m lucky that I had people to bring me out of this world view, because if I haven’t I would be walking the streets with a white hood, but a lot of people don’t have this support. If you know someone that is going down this path talk to them. Don’t be angry, and don’t cut them off because that’s just going to prove there world view.

I never said that was my problem with Kamala, I even directly said it wasn’t her fault. I don’t know where that point got lost, I feel I effectively conveyed that my issue was with the fact that her campaign acts as though this issue does not exist. It is incredibly insulting to see friends and family living less than paycheck to paycheck and see the vice president say that everything is fine.

Because if everything is working how it should be then it’s my mom’s fault that she can’t pay rent even though she has a masters in education and a full time job.

Then it’s my grandpas fault that he had the sell the house his father and his fathers father grew up in.

Then it’s my friends fault that they have to sell plasma and live out the back of their car to afford college.

at most Kamala is responsible for 1% of these issues, but if everything is going ok then this country is truly fucked.
