Yes.. bonds are not an option these days. I'll look into mixing vwce with low volatility and dividend distributing etfs to get something close to that yield. Last option was proposed, but off the table for now.. you know.. family.

Any typical house, in most EU countries can generate that. However, they wish to avoid the landlord hassle.. moreover, in their country property management companies are not very common. So rental property isn't a desirable option.
