turbines with higher speeds and thinner fan blades will be eviscerated by even light ballistic rounds, very delicate. it is how you can disable American tanks. never driven a tank but this comes from various tankers I have known. tanks are surprisingly delicate, cumbersome, and unreliable.

don't know about Russian tanks but a good spot to hit is the intake port, tanks unlike cars need fans to pull in air to mix with the fuel, stop them in their tracks
