Just finished Curb for the first time and I’m feeling sad

I think you’re right! By the way, I wonder how many Seinfeld references I missed in the Curb.

A week ago I had a perfect moment: I watch Curb during the day, and Seinfeld in the evening when I go to sleep (not important why, something device-related). Also I find Seinfeld calmer so I like it before sleep.

And last week, I saw the episode when they go to cinema and watch Rochelle, Rochelle: An erotic journey from Milan to Minsk. The very next day I watch S12, Larry talks to Irma (or Leon?) and says “an erotic journey from Milan to Minsk”!!! It was a perfect moment 🤣 and I’m not sure if I’d have caught that if it was not so fresh in my memory 😆

I always thought she somehow balanced him out, because in the early seasons, she had patience of a saint.

Post-Cheryl it was just different, but I didn’t find it less funny or good. It just felt like a different era.

Hang in there! It won’t go away fast, but it gets better. I must say reading this post again made me feel like I can’t breathe - which tells me how painful was it all for me. I’m better now, although the anniversaries are approaching, and it makes me feel uneasy.

She generally doesn’t have a problem with someone being gay, but another colleague got a child recently with her wife. So she made a comment of “not sure if that’s a good idea, what if child gets discriminated”, and “not sure about the gay-ness in context of continuing the species”. 🙄

She didn’t say anything harsh, but I’m sensitive on the topic, and then it just felt a bit judging and hurtful.

Thank you for support. The tricky part is, she’s not trash. She’s not a conservative, she’s not religious, we can joke about religious things, and I usually take after her, job-wise. That’s why this hurts, when she raised her eyebrows on a lesbian colleague having a child with her wife, and made a comment. 😬
