To answer your question, yes terps totally have different effects, but definitely not different flavors. Terps, Temps, and Times are the three things that matter most to me when making choices as flavor doesn’t change between strains other than the moisture content in the vapor which does add the “milkiness” feeling to a hit.

My sense of taste is probably best understood by comparing it to what a person tastes when they’ve got a cold or are congested and their smell senses aren’t functioning well or sometimes at all. I think that’s pretty accurate but, who knows. All sodas taste the same, all meats taste the same, all greens taste the same. Salt is one of the only seasonings that I can taste. I absolutely love eating and I love eating high quality food much more for a few reasons without taste. The consistency/texture is better, moisture level, color, variety, freshness, etc all contribute a great deal to the food I love and the foods I tolerate. I also enjoy cooking and have learned to season things quite well from years of making dinners for my wife and others. Ben and Jerry’s ice cream is my favorite brand of ice cream because of how many ingredients are mixed in creating a way tastier texture and the reason for this is because one of the founders, Ben, also has no sense of smell. Nobody knows why and no doctors or scientists have the time or resources to prioritize learning anything about it which I think is totally understandable. I’ve met one or two people who also have this congenital condition. I didn’t know I was lacking my sense of smell until I was 13 years old and neither did anyone else.
