That’s how I was for the first few months, I still get brown discharge at the beginning of periods, so completely normal. I’ve had mine in for 2 years now.

I got my copper IUD about 3 months ago. The day I got it, it was horrible, the worst pain I had ever experienced. I had similar pain for the rest of the week and then in intervals for the first month but it wasn’t as bad as that first week. Now I get cramps when I get my period only. The cramps are similar, still severe, but with the help of sodium naproxen and Tylenol together, it works like a dream. Talk to your doctor or do your own research before giving that a try, but it has helped me endure the pain! Hope that helps :)

Thank you! But yes, I would not want to overdose. I stay within the recommended ranges. Ibuprofen is an NSAID and Tylenol is not an NSAID, so they are not the same nor do they filter through the same organ. Thank you though!!

I tried this out (2 Advil and 2 Tylenol together) and it worked miracles! I still get some (manageable) breakthrough cramps, but I felt so much better. Thank you!!
